26 time Grammy Award-Winning artists, Emilio and Gloria Estefan, have opened their newest Estefan Kitchen restaurant location in Sunset Walk, located in the Margaritaville Resort Orlando complex.
The well-known Miami destination brings the essence of Cuba to Orlando with modern and traditional dishes, live entertainment, and over-the-top dance performances.
“Sunset Walk is the perfect destination for Estefan Kitchen to call home,” said Emilio Estefan. “Bongos Cuban Café celebrated 22 years in the community and we’re thrilled to turn the page and continue sharing our culture with our neighbors in Orlando. Estefan Kitchen is the perfect destination for locals and visitors. . .it’s where music & food bring people together, and we know they’ll have an unforgettable experience each time they visit.”
The restaurant’s beautiful dining room is elegantly designed with tropical plants, marble floors, an indoor/outdoor bar and a stage for live nightly performances.
The menu features a mix of traditional Latin cuisine, including vegan and vegetarian options, and “Miriam’s Chicken and Rice Asopao” is a signature recipe from the Estefan’s personal Chef that has been passed down for generations in Puerto Rico.
The dish features braised quartered chicken, rice, green peas, roasted red pepper, sweet plantains, and asopao, a specific type of Arroz con Pollo.
And I’m really excited to share that recipe for Miriam’s Chicken and Rice Asopao!

For ten years Wild Florida, in Kenansville, has focused on educating individuals on Central Florida’s natural resources, and now they are taking guests around the world with the opening of their new Drive-Thru Safari Park experience.
The new expansion includes 85 acres of untouched scenic landscapes giving guests of the wildlife and safari park the opportunity to identify species from as far away as the African savanna to the deciduous forests of North America from the comfort of their own car.
Along the over two miles of pathways, drivers and passengers will come up-close to over 100 animals roaming freely including giraffes, zebra, eland antelope, scimitar oryx, American bison, mouflon sheep, and more.
The Drive-Thru Safari experience is not just confined to your car because there is an elevated giraffe platform where you can hand-feed these beautiful animals.
The park also contains a massive pond dedicated exclusively as a home for all “nuisance”alligators, trapped by the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission’s (FWC) SNAP program.
Wild Florida also plans to open a world class zip-line through the safari park that spans across untouched cypress swamps, animal exhibits and scenic landscapes in Spring 2020.
As an added value, Safari Park tickets include FREE admission to Wild Florida’s Gator Park with over 200 native and exotic animals, a petting zoo, a variety of educational animal shows, delicious food, and more.
Inside the Gator Park you can spend the day learning about American Alligators with Crusher – the park’s biggest American alligator who weighs over 1,000 pounds, view hands-on demonstrations with some of the Wild Florida residents during an Exotic Animal Show, and witnessing the power and speed of the American alligator during the Gator Feeding Show.
Did you know…The park also hosts an annual Gator Week to celebrate their inhabitants!
Admission to Wild Florida’s Drive-Thru Safari Park is only $29 for adults and $20 for children under the age of 12 that includes free admission to the Wild Florida Gator Park.
DISCLOSURE: I was an invited guest of the Walt Disney World Resort to tour Disney’s Riviera Resort, but all opinions and overuse of exclamation marks are all my own.
Disney’s Riviera Resort, the newest Disney Vacation Club resort, has some amazing resort specific merchandise that you can find inside of the Resort’s gift shop called La Boutique.
What makes the merchandise so special is that it marks a return to Walt Disney World creating Resort specific merchandise, which makes my heart super happy!!!
From plush inspired by the character breakfast at Topolino’s Terrace to rose-gold ears with fabric featuring the Resort’s iconic double R, you can find something for everyone in your family.
What is also unique is that you can purchase pieces from the curated collection of art that you see throughout Disney’s Riviera Resort with a kiosk inside of La Boutique.
Let’s take a look at some of my favorite Disney’s Riviera Resort merchandise pieces!
My Favorite Disney’s Riviera Resort Merchandise
The Loungefly backpack was SUPER popular with guests at Disney’s Riviera Resort the day I went. These backpacks are a great size for the park with padded shoulder straps. If there is a selection available, make sure you take a moment to find a placement of the pattern that you love!
So this woven fedora with blue and white stripe band matches the vibe of Disney’s Riviera Resort perfectly! Also, how perfect is the Double R logo on the gold button???
I am calling it now…these rose gold ears are THE piece of Disney’s Riviera Resort merchandise that will be the most sought after! The pattern on the bow’s fabric feels very Lilly Pulitzer, but the colors are more Tory Burch…I hope that makes as much sense as it did in my mind!
The Disney’s Riviera Resort luggage features two patterns. On the front you can find the Resort’s name with a vintage steamer feel, and on the back you will find a Hidden Mickey pattern that is similar to those found around the Resort.
Topolino’s Terrace at Disney’s Riviera Resort has a character breakfast and the characters wear Resort exclusive costumes, so of course Disney’s Riviera Resort sells plush with the same costumes for you to take home.
Make sure you check out the Pandora charms for two Disney’s Riviera Resort designs!
This pillow is similar to those found in the rooms at Disney’s Riviera Resort.
Okay guys…Can we just take a moment to completely appreciate this Disney’s Riviera Resort themed autograph book that also features coloring pages? Thank you!
This long dress is perfection! The fabric is buttery soft with a natural waist detail that is flattering for most if not all body shapes. I LOVE IT!!!!
This trio of travel bags featuring the Disney’s Riviera Resort logo and color scheme are fantastic, because they are the right size for bringing jewelry, toiletries, or even phone cables on the go.
While we are talking about Disney’s Riviera Resort, make sure to check out our YouTube channel for room tours of the Grand Villa and brand new Tower Studios!
