THOMAS BEAUREGARD, SOLAR BEARS
AGREE TO TERMS Forward Supplies Proven Playmaking Ability
Orlando, FL – The Orlando Solar Bears announced today that they have agreed to terms with forward Thomas Beauregard.
Beauregard (6’0″, 205 lbs.) joins the Orlando Solar Bears after appearing in 60 games and scoring 59 points (22 goals, 37 assists) with the Central Hockey
![]() From 2007-2009, Beauregard was a member of the Cincinnati Cyclones. He played in 84 games throughout those two years and had 46 goals to go along with 47 assists. During the 2008-09 season, he dressed for eight games with the Hamilton Bulldogs of the AHL, scoring two goals and assisting on one other. In 2007-08, his Cyclones squad captured the Kelly Cup.
“Thomas is a very good two-way forward,” said Head Coach Drake Berehowsky. “He can put up very good numbers on the offensive end and is good in his own zone.”
Beauregard played five seasons (2002-2007) for the Acadie-Bathurst Titans of the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League prior to turning pro. In his final season, he lead the QMJHL in goals with 71, and finished second in points with 124.
The Orlando Solar Bears, the ECHL affiliate of the NHL’s Minnesota Wild and AHL’s Houston Aeros, are coming Out of Hibernation and will play 36 regular season home games at the 2012 Street and Smith’s Sports Business Journal Sports Facility of the Year, the Amway Center, beginning October 20, 2012. Fans will have the opportunity to purchase individual tickets for all 36 regular season home games beginning at 8:00 am on Wednesday, September 19th, with tickets starting as low as $15. Wordless Wednesday took us to the roofs of Hogsmeade at the Wizarding World of Harry Potter.
It’s almost time for Oktoberfest in Celebration, and if you are in the area you will want to swing by because it is a lot of fun for the whole family!
Mayor Buddy Dyer and Orlando City Soccer’s President are visiting other parks in the Kansas City area, including Livestrong Sporting Park, to explore stadium options for the Citrus Bowl.
Betsy had the chance to attend a Lunch and Learn for Joe’s Crab Shack, and their new menu additions look delicious!!!

Its Weekly Review Time!!!! This past week here at On the Go has been full of great stuff, and its almost my favorite time of year which makes me even more excited about all that is going on around Orlando! Now it’s time to look back, with our Weekly Review, at all that happened her at On the Go in MCO August 27th to August 31st!!!

On Monday, Megan started the week off with a look at a really fun Hidden Gem at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort and Spa!
Tuesday, Aurora got us pumped up for Orlando City’s upcoming Playoff Game!
For this week’s Wordless Wednesday, I looked at the parade that I absolutely adore!
LEGOLAND Florida is adding Brick-Or-Treat, a Halloween Celebration, to its special events this year!
The fall is our favorite time of year here at On the Go in MCO, and Betsy took us around the Magic Kingdom Fall Decorations that have gone up!
We love our Orlando City Soccer Club, and we wanted to take a more in-depth look at their Playoff Game!
And we kept on the sports theme, and ended our week with some information about the Orlando Solar Bears Training Camp that is starting soon!

Orlando Solar Bears Players Report to Training Camp SEPTEMBER 29; Players Take the Ice October 1
Orlando, FL – The Orlando Solar Bears announced today that players will report for Training Camp on Saturday, September 29th. The first day players will practice on the ice is Monday, October 1st.
On September 29th and 30th, the Orlando Solar Bears players will report to camp to complete physicals and go through medical testing. Once complete, the first on-ice session will be held on Monday, October 1st, as players prepare for two preseason contests in Estero, Florida, on October 5th and 6th. Training Camp activities will resume on Monday, October 8th, and will close on Thursday, October 11. Practices that are open to the public will be announced on www.OrlandoSolarBearsHockey.com at a later date.
The Orlando Solar Bears open the season on the road against the Florida Everblades for their first regular season game on Friday, October 12th. The contest marks the first of four-straight games between the two clubs to open the year.
“Training camp provides an excellent way for the players to develop chemistry and learn our systems,” stated Drake Berehowsky, the Head Coach of the Solar Bears. “It also gives the players a chance to get acclimated to their new surroundings here in Orlando.”
The Orlando Solar Bears take the ice at the Amway Center for their Opening Night on Saturday, October 20th. Single game tickets go on sale on Wednesday, September 19th.

Monday brought us news about the 2012 Halloween Merchandise at Walt Disney World! Halloween is my favorite time of year, and this year the merchandise is well designed and even better than last year’s offerings.
We are all really pumped for the Orlando Solar Bears to Come Out of Hibernation, and they have signed a new player!
Tuesday brought the first in our Girls Night Out in Orlando series, where a few of the gals had a fun night at Universal’s CityWalk!
Wordless Wednesday took us to Animal Kingdom at night for a look at the Tree of Life. Animal Kingdom is a beautiful park at night.
I also went shopping at DStreet, and found that the Mavericks of Mayhem line by Noah had arrived at Downtown Disney’s Westside!
Thursday started with another installment of Betsy’s California Adventure!
Then I reviewed Doc McStuffins: Friendship is the Best Medicine, available now on DVD.
Nights of Joy are coming to Walt Disney World, and we look at the artists that will be performing this year!
We ended the week with Cheryl taking us along for her DVC stay at Bay Lake Tower for One More Disney Day.
We also gave away two tickets for the Big Time Summer Tour with Big Time Rush with Special Guest Cody Simpson, coming to the Amway Center on August 28, 2012.
And finally we took a look at two new logos that the Orlando Solar Bear will be using!

Orlando, Fl — The Orlando Solar Bears announced today that they have agreed to terms with defenseman Simon Danis-Pepin.
Danis-Pepin (6’7″, 221 lbs.) has played in the American Hockey League and the ECHL. A second round draft pick (61st overall) of the Chicago Blackhawks in the 2006 NHL Entry Draft, Danis-Pepin has spent the majority of the last 3 seasons with the Toledo Walleye (ECHL). He registered 36 points and 65 penalty minutes in 71 career games with the Walleye (2009-12).
Before professional hockey, the Montreal, Quebec native played four years at the University of Maine. Danis-Pepin served as the Black Bears co-captain during his senior year and accumulated 36 points and 81 penalty minutes in 133 career games of collegiate hockey (2005-09).
Over the next 2-6 weeks the Solar Bears expect to announce a number of player signings, our new radio broadcast partner, details for our OSB Training Camp dates and Open Invitation Try-Out, Single Game Ticket “On Sale” date, details regarding the formation of the OSB Alumni Association, details about two trophies that will be awarded annually to a current Solar Bears player in honor and memory of both Dan Snyder and Rob Kenny, and a number of exciting promotional events. On Monday we took a look some local sports teams. First, the Orlando Solar Bears signed three new team members. And at the Orlando City Soccer Club, Kevin Molino was named to the Trinidad team for Canada Friendly.
Aurora and I ventured out to Titanic: The Experience, and she shares her thoughts on a Visit to the Titanic.
For Wordless Wednesday, we took a look through the trees at Star Tours at Disney’s Hollywood Studios.
We took a look at LEGOLAND Florida’s STEM Focused, Interactive Programs for kids.
Betsy makes her way out west to Disneyland, and shares part one of her Trip Report in her California Adventure!
Friday, Megan took us along on her Wild Africa Trek! She has some great photos and information about this really up-close Safari Experience!
