Summer Tribute Store 2022 Tour

The Summer Tribute Store at the Universal Orlando Resort commemorates Universal Pictures and Amblin Entertainment’s iconic films “E.T. The Extra-Terrestrial,” “JAWS” and “Back to the Future” with the newest edition of its popular Summer Tribute Store, now open at Universal Studios Florida.

The limited-time retail location transports guests to a 1980s movie theater where favorite scenes from retro summer blockbusters come to life within four incredibly-themed rooms stocked with décor and dedicated merchandise that pay homage to each film.

E.T. The Extra-Terrestrial: Step inside Elliott’s childhood bedroom complete with toys, games and other heartfelt belongings and browse an assortment of apparel – including the famous red hoodie – along with E.T. plush, pins and more celebrating the upcoming 40^th anniversary of the film’s release.

JAWS: Adorned with seaside props and the makings of a ship’s hull in the rafters is Quint’s boat shack – which includes a variety of “red, white and blue” shirts, bags, tumblers and more inspired by the setting of the classic film. This room also features authentic, retro merchandise that pays tribute to Universal Studios Florida’s past “JAWS” attraction.

Summer Tribute Store 2022 Best of Universal Treats

Best of Universal: The final room in the Summer Tribute Store features compilation merchandise starring the three blockbuster films highlighted within the store – plus items from other popular Universal Pictures’ movies like “Jurassic Park” – within a space decked out to resemble a theater concession stand. And of course, here is also where guests can find delicious, themed treats and snacks available for purchase.

The Summer Tribute Store is located in the heart of the New York area of Universal Studios Florida.

LEGO Friends Weekends 2022 at LEGOLAND Florida

The “Fab Five” are back for more adventure and fun during LEGO Friends Weekends at LEGOLAND Florida Theme Park weekends this June.

Red Hot & Boom returns to Cranes Roost Park

Now in its 25^th year, Red Hot & Boom returns to Cranes Roost Park on Sunday, July 3, 2022. The City of Altamonte Springs and XL106.7 partner to host one of the largest Independence Day celebrations in Florida with a full lineup of artists and fireworks.

This legendary event attracts more than 150,000 spectators each year. Guests will enjoy family-friendly, free performances on the iconic floating stage starting at 4 p.m.*, including:

For the silver anniversary year, a 25-minute firework display will launch over Cranes Roost Lake highlighting the 25^th annual celebration with popular and patriotic music as more than 13,000 bursts illuminate the night sky at 9:30 p.m., weather permitting, followed by the closing musical act.

“Red Hot & Boom is back with amazing live music from national and regional stars and the City’s famous fireworks show, one of the largest and well-known in Florida. For 25 years, the City of Altamonte Springs has hosted our most popular event to celebrate our nation’s independence. Here, friends and neighbors from across Central Florida can join together in the spirit of patriotism and kinship,” said City Manager Frank Martz. “Altamonte Springs is centrally located at a regional crossroad, so we are a natural place for people to come together at Cranes Roost Park to celebrate the very best of our country!”

The event is rain or shine, admission is free and food and beverages are available for purchase. No coolers, glass, personal fireworks or pets are permitted.

An AWE-Summer at LEGOLAND Florida

LEGOLAND Florida Theme Park is gearing up for the most awesome summer ever with the return of Awe-Summer with more fun than EVER.

Electric Ocean Returns to SeaWorld Orlando in 2022

Electric Ocean, SeaWorld’s electrifying summer event featuring both daytime and nighttime entertainment, eats and fun for guests of all ages, returns this summer bigger and better than ever before.

After a day of exploring the park, guests can continue their visit after dark and dive into incredible environments of light and music while experiencing fan-favorite SeaWorld attractions as they have never seen them.

Family Sunsets Return to Central Florida Zoo

The Central Florida Zoo & Botanical Gardens’ popular all-ages event, Family Sunset at the Zoo, is back, offering everyone a chance to enjoy the community institution in a whole new light.

The event takes place every fourth Friday from May to September. The Zoo reopens at 5 p.m. and comes alive with all sorts of fun until the sun goes down. Family Sunset features music at the Wharton-Smith Tropical Splash Ground, inflatable games, and some of your favorite animals along the shaded boardwalks.

Dates for Family Sunset are as follows:

May 27 – 5 p.m. – 8 p.m.
June 24 – 5 p.m. – 8 p.m.
July 22 – 5 p.m. – 8 p.m.
August 26 – 5p.m. – 8 p.m.
September 23 – 5 p.m. – 8 p.m.

The last admission is at 7:30 p.m. for each event. Tickets are $6 per person when purchased online and $8 per person when purchased on-site. The event is separate from daytime admission and is not included for Annual Passholders.

Disney Twenty-Three Summer 2022 Issue

Shining, shimmering, splendid. First Look: Finding Nemo: The Big Blue… and Beyond!

Finding Nemo: The Big Blue… and Beyond! will open this summer at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Theme Park, and it’s time to take a deep dive into the creation of the freshly reimagined show.

Stepping inside the Theater in the Wild, we’ll catch up with the group of fish from Dr. P. Sherman’s office in “Finding Nemo,” who have made their way across the ocean to the Marine Life Institute.

The fish tell Nemo’s story in this fully updated, 25-minute show, incorporating live performers and puppets, along with many of the beloved songs and production numbers from the original “Finding Nemo: The Musical.”

In addition to a new script, the show will feature new scenic set pieces and a new LED video wall designed to visually extend the world created by the physical sets on stage.

The stage will be filled with eye-catching sets including a 32-foot-long sunken submarine and a fish tank volcano standing nearly 15 feet tall!

Working in close collaboration with Pixar Animation Studios, artists and designers at Disney Live Entertainment also developed a new aesthetic for “Finding Nemo: The Big Blue… and Beyond!” inspired by layered, cut paper sculptures.

The resulting look is fresh and unique to the show while staying true to the designs in the original film.

“Finding Nemo: The Big Blue… and Beyond!” is just one of the many additions coming to the Walt Disney World Resort as they continue to celebrate its 50th Anniversary.
