Epcot International Flower and Garden Festival

The 2022 EPCOT Flower & Garden Festival is blooming with fresh cuisine, beautiful gardens, whimsical topiaries of familiar characters, and flourishing entertainment daily through July 4, 2022.

The Garden Rocks Concert Series takes place at the American Gardens Theatre at 5:30 pm, 6:45 pm, 8:00 pm. This weekend’s performers are:

Mike DelGuidice, currently on tour with Billy Joel: March 18 & 19
Kool & The Gang* – NEW!: March 20 & 21

As a reminder, to enjoy the 2022 Epcot Flower & Garden Festival parkgoers must have both valid theme park admission and a park pass reservation.

SeaWorld Orlando is kicking off 2022 with the Seven Seas Food Festival that’s packed with more flavor than ever before every Thursday through Sunday, until May 8.

This year at Orlando’s largest theme park food festival, foodies and families alike can enjoy over 200 chef-and mixologist-curated tastes inspired by cultures from across the Seven Seas.

The long-awaited Ice Breaker coaster has officially opened to guests!!!

This family-friendly thrill coaster features four airtime-filled launches, both backward and forwards, culminating in a reverse launch into the steepest beyond vertical drop in Florida – a 93 feet tall spike with a 100-degree angle. The thrills continue as riders fly over a near-vertical tophat maneuver into a series of exciting twists, turns, and airtime hills.

2022 Epcot Flower & Garden Festival Overview

The 2022 EPCOT Flower & Garden Festival is blooming with fresh cuisine, beautiful gardens, whimsical topiaries of familiar characters, and flourishing entertainment from March 2 through July 4, 2022.

Topiaries

The obvious highlight of the Epcot Flower & Garden Festival is the Disney and Pixar character topiaries.

These iconic and towering topiaries can be found throughout the park and are sure to brighten up the rainiest Spring Day!

As a salute to the Walt Disney World Resort’s 50^th anniversary, the Epcot entry plaza is home to a Goofy Topiary and Walt Disney World 50th Anniversary Celebration Cake.

Gardens

Take a walk off the beaten path to find flowerbeds, exotic gardens, sustainable foods, and imaginative ways to live in harmony with the natural world.

New to the festival this year is the Blossoms of Fragrance Presented by Scentsy which fills the World Showcase Bridge with unforgettable fragrances

Epcot International Flower and Garden Festival 2019

Outdoor Kitchens

World Showcase at EPCOT plays host to over twenty Festival-exclusive Outdoor Kitchens and dining locations during the Epcot International Flower & Garden Festival.

At each Outdoor Kitchen, festival-goers will find specialty menus featuring creative, fresh, and tasty bites paired with libations.

Guests of the festival can enjoy new delights like the BLT Scone at Cider House as well as the return of fan-favorites like the Local Wildflower Honey-Mascarpone Cheesecake at The Honey Bee-stro Hosted by the National Honey Board.

Make sure to pick up an Epcot Flower & Garden Festival Passport at either park entrance to participate in Garden Graze, a food stroll featuring five delicious dishes from various Outdoor Kitchens that once completed result in a festival-exclusive treat.

Outdoor Kitchens are open daily from 11:00 am to park close, unless otherwise noted.

Garden Rocks Concert Series

Need a way to work off those extra calories during the EPCOT Flower & Garden Festival?

Head to the Garden Rocks Concert Series that takes place on select nights at the America Gardens Theatre in the American Adventure Pavilion.

New and returning favorite rockers include Rick Springfield, Kool & The Gang, Blue October, STARSHIP featuring Mickey Thomas, TobyMac, The Commodores, Little River Band, Simple Plan, and many more.

The lines for the festival concerts can get quite long, and to make the most of their time in the park guests can book a Garden Rocks Dining Package that includes a leisurely meal at an EPCOT restaurant earlier in the evening and guaranteed seats at one of the Garden Rocks performances that day.

Dining packages are available at four EPCOT eateries at lunch and dinner.

Each package includes an appetizer, entrée, and dessert or one full buffet (where applicable), along with a non-alcoholic beverage and one guaranteed seat per person to one Garden Rocks concert performance on the same day.

The Health Full Trail Presented by AdventHealth is a whimsical area made to inspire youthful energy and creativity! The whole family can learn ways to stay healthy at this Outdoor Kitchen and garden along the Imagination Walkway.

Embark on a springtime scavenger hunt for gardeners of all ages with Spike’s Pollen-Nation Exploration.

Follow Spike the Bee on his pollination trail, where he will “bee” busy collecting nectar and pollinating gardens at EPCOT. To get started, purchase your map and stickers at select merchandise locations (available while supplies last).

Once completed, return your scavenger hunt map to Disney Traders or World Traveler for a special surprise.

Disney Adventure Friends Cavalcade!

Kicking off the fun on February 11 is the brand-new Disney Adventure Friends Cavalcade!

The cavalcade stars nearly 30 of your favorite Disney and Pixar friends!

Friends like Nick and Judy from “Zootopia,” Baloo and King Louie from “The Jungle Book,” José Carioca and Panchito from “The Three Caballeros,” plus Merida, Moana, The Incredibles, and more!

The highlight is the Magic Kingdom debut of Miguel from “Coco” in his mariachi best.

Festival of Fantasy

The beloved Disney Festival of Fantasy Parade is returning to the Magic Kingdom Park beginning March 9 – the anniversary of the debut of the parade in 2014!

Dazzling guests since its debut, the Disney “Festival of Fantasy” Parade features beloved characters from “The Princess and the Frog,” “Tangled,” “Peter Pan” and more bringing their individual stories to life on enchanting floats that look as though the characters themselves had a hand in crafting them.

Looming 26 feet above the parade route and 35 feet in length, the fire-breathing Maleficent Dragon float returns just as menacing as ever.

Mickey’s Magical Friendship Faire

Finally, “Mickey’s Magical Friendship Faire” will make its debut on the Cinderella Castle Forecourt Stage on February 25th!

The show, newly enhanced for the Walt Disney World 50^th Anniversary celebration, will incorporate favorite scenes inspired by “Frozen,” “Tangled,” and “The Princess and the Frog” – plus a new opening and a new finale with Mickey Mouse and all his friends in their sparkling, EARidescent fashions.

Presented multiple times a day, the show will also include an all-new, original song entitled “Where the Magic Feels Like Home.”

It’s so awesome to have Magic Kingdom entertainment once again filling the streets with dancing and fun!!!

New Playset Fun Coming to Toy Story Land in 2022

Toy Story Land at Disney’s Hollywood Studios is full of fun for toys of all ages, and in 2022 the area will be the home to two new additions.

After enjoying a rollicking ride through Toy Story Mania!, you will soon be treated to a new experience that is filled to the brim with fun. Andy discovered Jessie’s Trading Post playset tucked away in the attic and is bringing it downstairs to set up shop—full of the coolest toys and finest souvenirs handpicked by the rootinest, tootinest cowgirl.

Also coming in 2022 to Andy’s backyard is the previously announced Roundup Rodeo BBQ restaurant!

In this unique, fun, family-friendly dining experience, guests will enjoy delicious barbecue fare while surrounded by a kaleidoscope of toys, games, and playsets that Andy has brought together to create his one-of-a-kind rodeo.

Stepping into the lobby and waiting area, guests experience first-hand what it feels like to be one of Andy’s honorary toys, before progressing into two larger dining room spaces where Andy’s rodeo takes place. Here, the rodeo will be in full swing with the western town and train station playsets mixing with surprising, playful details, like some fan-favorite Pixar characters as they’ve never been seen before!

2022 Garden Rocks Concert Series Line-Up

I am really excited to share that the popular Garden Rocks Concert Series is returning to the EPCOT International Flower & Garden Festival this March!

New this year, internationally recognized artists will bring the groove to the America Gardens Theater stage Friday-Monday, while local Orlando bands step into the spotlight Tuesday-Thursday.

The series features something for everyone – from returning favorites like The Guess Who, Rick Springfield and Simple Plan to Latin hitmakers Melina León and Claudia Leitte, Christian music superstar TobyMac and groovin’ legends Kool & The Gang.

Walt Disney World Resort’s 50th anniversary celebration will continue in 2022, with new and returning experiences coming to all of the theme parks and beyond.

On the Go in the Parks New in 2022 Cosmic Rewind Poster

Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind, EPCOT’s first “other-world” showcase pavilion opening in the summer, will feature a new storytelling coaster that rotates 360 degrees to focus on the action, including the first reverse launch on a Disney coaster.

Disney’s Animal Kingdom will debut the all-new “Finding Nemo: The Big Blue… and Beyond,” which will be a reimagined stage show set in the timeline of the Finding Dory film.

On the Go in the Parks New in 2022 Connections Cafe

A new quick-service restaurant, Connections Café and Eatery, debuting in the World Celebration neighborhood of EPCOT as part of the park’s ongoing transformation.

Walt Disney World’s immersive Star Wars-themed hotel, Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser, will open on March 1, 2022, inviting guests aboard the starship Halcyon for an all-inclusive experience that puts them into the immersive world of Star Wars.

MagicBand+ will be available for purchase beginning this year, retaining existing MagicBand features, like park and guest room entry, retail, dining, and Disney PhotoPass, while adding new functionality to interact with experiences in the parks and beyond.

“Fantasmic!” will be returning to Disney’s Hollywood Studios in 2022 with an all-new sequence featuring live performers, stunts, special effects, and more!

At the Magic Kingdom Park, your favorite Disney friends will continue to make their return with enhanced experiences!

“Mickey’s Magical Friendship Faire” will return to the Cinderella Castle Forecourt stage with favorite scenes from the previous version of the show plus a new opening and a new finale with Mickey Mouse and all his friends in their 50^th Anniversary EARidescent fashions. Ice Breaker, SeaWorld Orlando’s first launch coaster, will open on February 18, 2022, with family-friendly thrills, including four backward and forward launches that culminate in a reverse launch with a 93-foot-tall spike with a 100-degree angle, the steepest vertical drop in Florida.

At Aquatica Orlando, Reef Plunge will zoom into Spring with a vibrant array of marine life, Commerson’s dolphins, leopard sharks, and a variety of other cold-water fish.

Busch Gardens Tampa Bay and Adventure Island Water Park

Iron Gwazi, North America’s tallest, fastest, and steepest hybrid coaster in the world, will open in March 2022, taking thrills to new heights, plunging from a 206-foot-tall peak into a 91-degree drop, a dozen airtime moments, and three inversions while reaching top speeds of 76 miles per hour.

Rapids Racer at Adventure Island water park is an experience built for two as riders race through nearly 600 feet of slide, complete with low walls to encounter your opponents throughout this side-by-side experience and the world’s first dueling saucers.

Wahoo Remix will be Adventure Island’s first waterslide to feature synchronized light and sound elements, delivering an all-new, high-energy, family raft ride experience with ultimate party vibes. Enclosed tunnels that were once dark will now glow and groove as riders zoom through over 600 feet of fun.

The Orlando Slingshot and Orlando Free Fall – two world-record-setting attractions – opened in early January at ICON Park on International Drive. The Orlando Slingshot, the world’s tallest slingshot, stands at 300 feet, launching riders at speeds up to 100 mph. The Orlando Free Fall at ICON Park stands at 430 feet, making it the world’s tallest free-standing drop tower.
