Christmas At The Gaylord Palms
Christmas at the Gaylord Palms is underway, and it is one of our favorite places to go to celebrate the Holiday Season!
With so many new and enhanced things to experience during Christmas at the Gaylord Palms, I wanted to share some of my favorite things to do during your visit!
1. ICE! featuring ‘Twas the Night Before Christmas
You can’t talk about Christmas at Gaylord Palms without talking about ICE! , and this year ICE! featuring ‘Twas the Night Before Christmas is this year’s main attraction.
Venture inside the nine degree wonderland to experience the classic poem come to life in two million pounds of hand-carved, life-size ice sculptures.
ICE! presented by Pepsi also features four slippery ice slides, a live carving zone in which guests can witness a master carver at work, and On the Blocks ICE! Bar, the exclusive adult-only bar inside of ICE!
2. Alpine Rush Snow Tubing
While ICE! is nice, you have to give Alpine Rush Snow Tubing a go!
Grab a tube and spped down an 18’ 8-lane giant snow hill created with real Florida snow.
This year on Friday and Saturday evenings, the lights go down and the fun turns up as Cosmic Tubing comes to life. Guests tubing during this time enjoy high spirited holiday music accompanied by flashing LED lights.
3. The Elf on the Shelf Scavenger Hunt
If you feel adventurous, you can take on The Elf on the Shelf Scavenger Hunt around the resort!
The Elf on the Shelf® scout elves need your help! Ten of Santa’s special scout elf helpers have landed at Gaylord Palms, but they won’t be able to fly to the North Pole until they have a name.
To find the scout elves you will need your keen eyesight, best puzzle solvers, and huge sense of fun to help reveal the elves’ names so they can report back to Santa. All families that help the scout elves fulfill their special Christmas mission will receive a prize.

4. Build-A-Bear Workshop Pop Up Shop
A really fun addition to the Alpine Village this year is the Build-A-Bear Workshop pop-up shop!
This interactive destination is a place where you can create your very own personalized furry friends that features the same memorable experiences offered at other Build-A-Bear Workshop stores throughout the country.
The Build-A-Bear Workshop pop-up shop has a large assortment of animals and characters, including faces featured in some of the season’s most popular movies.
While you are there, don’t forget to pick up an exclusive, furry friend-sized “Christmas at GaylordPalms” t-shirt to commemorate your visit.

5. Cirque Dreams UnWrapped
While ICE! was amazing, you HAVE to see Cirque Dreams UnWrapped at the Gaylord Palms!
Broadway director and Cirque Dreams founder Neil Goldberg is bringing the famed entertainment brand to Orlando for the first time in the company’s 22 years with this exclusive show.
This family friendly show features an array of seasonal characters brought to life in a dreamscape of imaginative costumes and creativity, while stunning feats of showmanship are unwrapped, performed on stage and in the air.
The performance is a 25-minute Christmas dream presented with the Broadway style and inventive theatrics for which Cirque Dreams is renowned, and with so many talented performers the show will change from night to night.
You absolutely don’t want to miss this limited-time Orlando Christmas stage show only at Gaylord Palms Resort!!!

6. Breakfast with Mrs. Claus
New this year to Christmas at Gaylord Palms is a breakfast hosted by the mother of the North Pole herself, Mrs. Claus.
Mrs. Claus has brought some of her top elves this character breakfast to get you in the holiday spirit, and who knows she may even put in a good word with the big guy himself!
Before you eat, make sure you visit with Mrs. Claus! It is a more intimate setting that is perfect for little ones who may be a little shy.
We really enjoyed our Breakfast with Mrs. Claus that features a buffet full of delicious options sure to please anyone in your family.

7. The Grand Snowfall
Stop dreaming of a white Christmas… experience it! Delight in an indoor winter wonderland as the 4.5 acre glass-enclosed atrium turns into the world’s largest snow globe. The Grand Snowfall follows Cirque Dreams Unwrapped performances in Emerald Plaza.

8. Gingerbread Decorating Corner
Making your own Gingerbread creation is a great way to spend some time together while creating a fun centerpiece for your home.
In the Alpine Village, you will find the Gingerbread Decorating Corner where you choose from two different design options to create either a delectable gingerbread cookie family or a complete gingerbread house.
After you’ve decorated to your heart’s content, make your way to meet Nutmeg the gingerbread man for a heartwarming hug you can capture with your own camera.

10. Amazing Holiday Decor
One of my favorite things to during Christmas at Gaylord Palms is to wander through the atrium’s lush gardens (over 500,000 plants) sprinkled with poinsettias, grand holiday displays, and watch as the famous 54-foot-tall majestic Christmas tree comes to life every night during the famous tree lighting ceremony.
The famous Orlando Christmas tree lighting ceremony, complete with Christmas carolers, lights, and of course, the star of the show, our massive 54-foot-tall Majestic Christmas Tree! It towers over the St. Augustine atrium waiting for the special moment to light up and cast holiday cheer to the guests on hand to witness it in all its glory.
