Howl-O-Scream Returns to Busch Gardens Tampa

Busch Gardens Tampa Bay has announced that its annual, premier Halloween event, Howl-O-Scream, will return this fall for its 21^st year every Friday through Sunday from September 25-November 1, 2020 with physically distant frights and ghoulish delights.

The creative production team has been consulting with medical experts and has modified this year’s event content with a focus on open-air scare zones and entertainment, as well as enhanced health and safety measures while staying true to the core of this fan-favorite experience.

With significantly limited capacity to create plenty of open space, guests will experience the heart-pounding fear of unexpected horrors including freakishly fun themed open-air scare zones throughout the 335-acre park, in addition to Busch Gardens’ thrilling coasters at night.

A spacious, outdoor venue for Fiends during Howl-O-Scream

The fan-favorite Fiends show, starring Dr. Freakenstein and his frightful entourage, will take to its largest stage ever for outdoor performances on the Festival Field Stage. Bench seating will be arranged in a physically distant manner to ensure there is plenty of space for a limited number of guests to enjoy each performance.

Remotely Terrifying – Virtual Auditions for Howl-O-Scream Scare Actors

As an extension of the park’s commitment to health and safety, the annual recruitment of scare actors has also transformed for 2020. New applicants interested in performing for Howl-O-Scream can virtually audition for a number of frightful roles by submitting their application at www.buschgardensjobs.com.

Howl-O-Scream is intended for a mature audience. This event contains intense adult content such as violence, gore, and blood. Howl-O-Scream 2020 is a separately-ticketed night event. Protective Face Coverings are required, but no costumes are allowed.

Starting September 2oth, its annual Craft Beer Festival will return with access to more than 100 crafts brews!

The event has been modified to allow guests to safely visit the park with limited capacity, roam SeaWorld’s expansive grounds, sample an unbeatable mix of domestic and local Florida favorites, and savor more than 20 food items expertly paired to preferred brews.

In addition to enhancing the park’s already strict health and safety measures, capacity will be significantly limited to create even more open space for a visit that provides ample opportunity to maintain social distancing.

This delicious festival will feature food and beverage locations that are appropriately spaced throughout the park to encourage physical distancing, modified food and beverage serving procedures, expanded areas of seating, and the ability to offer touchless transactions at all festival locations. Guests can experience all that the Craft Beer Festival has to offer, and save money, by purchasing a Craft Beer Festival Tasting Lanyard valid at 18 stations located throughout the park.

“We couldn’t be happier to host our annual Craft Beer Festival, modified to reflect enhanced health and safety protocols, including limited capacity, to give guests the chance to delight their senses,” said SeaWorld Orlando Park President Kyle Miller. “By spreading the festival booths out across the entire park, guests can safely enjoy all of the amazing beer and beer-inspired food, along with our award-winning attractions, while maintaining proper physical distancing.”

The Helping Hometown Heroes annual initiative gives away a free roof to a deserving individual, and this year they are looking to recognize a first responder or healthcare worker in Orlando who has selflessly sacrificed to respond to the COVID-19 pandemic.

“As a father, Orlando resident and small business owner, I’ve seen how our community’s first responders and healthcare workers have taken such incredible care of our residents,” says Paul Schick, president of Schick Roofing. “At the same time, many of them are also struggling financially due to this crisis. It’s our goal to recognize and reward their selflessness by providing a new roof and one less thing to worry about.”
