Halloween Horror Nights 30: New Maze Announcement

Halloween Horror Nights 2021 The Haunting of Hill House

For the first time ever, Netflix’s critically-acclaimed series “The Haunting of Hill House” will bring its ominous presence to the Universal Orlando Resort in an all-new maze for Halloween Horror Nights 2021, which officially begins on September 3, 2021 at Universal Studios Florida!

Upon its release, Netflix’s “The Haunting of Hill House” became a worldwide phenomenon of unsettling proportions that elevated the horror television genre. Created, directed, and executive-produced by horror mastermind Mike Flanagan (Hush, Oculus, Gerald’s Game) and executive produced by Trevor Macy via their Intrepid Pictures, the chilling horror story follows members of the Crain family who are haunted by long-dormant fears stemming from their time living in the menacing Hill House as children and then forced to face the ghosts of its grisly past.

“I have loved Halloween Horror Nights for so long,” said Flanagan, Creator, Director and Executive Producer of “The Haunting of Hill House.” “Some of my favorite memories of Halloween were made at Universal Studios, screaming and laughing with my friends. Reincarnated as a Halloween Horror Nights Maze, the imposing and mysterious Hill House eerily comes to life beckoning guests to embark on the dark journey.

Iconic scenes from the Netflix series will be featured throughout the maze, including the omni-powerful Red Room – the heart of Hill House – and the infamous Hall of Statues, where deceptive powers overtake everyone who enters. Apparitions will appear around every corner, from William Hill – The Tall Man, whose towering stature overwhelms everyone he encounters; to The Ghost in the Basement, who feverishly crawls throughout the bowels of the House in search of his next victim; to The Bent-Neck Lady, whose disturbing scream and ghastly appearance invoke a constant state of unnerving dread.

Halloween Horror Nights 30: JACK IS BACK

The Universal Orlando Resort just announced that Jack the Clown is going to return as the demented face of Halloween Horror Nights as the world’s premier Halloween event commemorates its 30^th year this fall!

The most notorious icon in event history, Jack’s return to Halloween Horror Nights 2021 will be fraught with terror and fear as the grisly circus clown invades every corner of this year’s event with unsuspecting “Jack Attacks” that will send guests running for their lives. His ominous and unrelenting presence will infiltrate every aspect of the event – from the streets, to the haunted houses to the places guests would least expect – leaving nowhere to turn and nowhere to hide.

Select tickets are on sale now for Universal Orlando’s Halloween Horror Nights, featuring a variety of ways for guests to customize their visit to stay, scream and save.

This spring, Universal Orlando Resort will debut an all-new, interactive character experience – DreamWorks Destination – where guests can meet, greet and dance along with their favorite DreamWorks characters in an incredibly themed location that brings the high-energy fun of the franchise’s most popular animated films to life.

Located in the KidZone area of Universal Studios Florida, DreamWorks Destination will be a first-of-its-kind character experience where guests can interact with multiple beloved characters from DreamWorks Animation’s hit film franchises, Trolls, Madagascar, Kung Fu Panda, and more – all in one festive location.

It’s Showtime…Halloween Horror Nights Returns

The world’s premier Halloween event, Universal Orlando’s Halloween Horror Nights, is back – returning this fall for its much-anticipated 30^th year and unleashing a sinister lineup of horrifying experiences on select nights beginning on September 3 through October 31.

Guests will face 10 terrifying haunted houses, five twisted scare zones and two outrageous live shows based on some of the biggest names in horror and pop culture – with the first haunted house of the season featuring the ‘ghost with the most’ and Halloween Horror Nights legend, “Beetlejuice.”

Beetlejuice was the first “ghost host” of Halloween Horror Nights – originally called ‘Fright Nights’ – during the event’s debut in 1991. As Halloween Horror Nights 2021 celebrates a milestone year, this former host will become the supernatural star of a bone-chilling haunted house based on Warner Bros. Pictures and Tim Burton’s Academy Award-winning horror-fantasy film.

Guests will be at the whim of the self-described “Bio-Exorcist” as they shadow Beetlejuice’s every move through artfully recreated scenes from the popular film.

From the infamous haunted attic within the Maitland home, to the model graveyard and Dante’s Inferno Room, guests will have the extraordinary chance to enter the movie surrounded by its most iconic characters.

With brash defiance, Beetlejuice is ready to turn on the juice and see what shakes loose – and his plans don’t include returning to the land of the unliving.

And this is just the beginning… more details about Halloween Horror Nights 2021 will be revealed in the months ahead.

Universal Announces Volcano Bay Reopening Date

The Universal Orlando Resort has announced that Universal’s Volcano Bay – Universal Orlando Resort’s water theme park – will begin welcoming guests again on Saturday, February 27.

One of three amazing theme parks at Universal Orlando, Universal’s Volcano Bay is a tropical oasis filled with a variety of relaxing and thrilling experiences – all surrounding a massive 200-foot volcano nestled right in the center of the park. Upon entering the picturesque park, guests are immediately transported to a South Seas-inspired paradise where they can relax on the sands of Waturi Beach, drift leisurely down Kopiko Wai Winding River, brave a 125-foot drop alongside the volcano on Ko’okiri Body Plunge and so much more.

Volcano Bay’s enhanced health and safety procedures will be in place when the park reopens on February 27 and reflect the guidelines that debuted last year. Key measures include temperature screenings for guests and team members, limiting capacity at the park and on attractions – including rivers and pools, enforcing social distancing, aggressive cleaning and disinfection procedures, and requiring face coverings inside restaurants, retail locations, and when entering and exiting the park. Universal Orlando Unveils VelociCoaster Vehicle

The Universal Orlando Resort has shared a new glimpse at the VelociCoaster, the all-new species of roller coaster coming to Jurassic Park at Universal’s Islands of Adventure in summer 2021.

Jurassic World VelociCoaster will raise the bar in extreme roller coaster design and become the ultimate experience for thrill-seekers – catapulting guests up to 70 mph and more than 150 feet in the air as they feel the rush of the hunt alongside a swift pack of Velociraptors.

Designed for speed and engineered for the hunt, the coaster’s revolutionary ride vehicle will send riders twisting and soaring across 4,700 feet of track as they encounter near-misses, launches, 12 heart-pounding seconds of airtime, and more – with just a lap bar restraint holding them in place. Universal’s Holiday Character Celebration at Universal Studios Florida

During “Universal’s Holiday Character Celebration,” guests can celebrate the holiday season with the Minions and other beloved characters from Illumination’s “Despicable Me” and “Minions” films, and with DreamWorks Animation’s treasured family of Shrek characters and King Julien and the crew from the “Madagascar” franchise. Those who successfully complete the entire hunt will receive an exclusive Holiday Tree Hunt-branded ornament.

Roller coaster enthusiasts will soon have new thrills to experience at the Universal Orlando Resort.

Inside of Universal’s Islands of Adventure theme park work is well underway on the Jurassic World VelociCoaster, which will be Florida’s fastest and tallest launch coaster when it debuts in 2021.

The Universal Creative team in partnership with acclaimed filmmakers from Universal Pictures and Amblin Entertainment has created a new species of roller coaster that will be highly themed and will take guests through a series of intense maneuvers that will send them catapulting at high speeds while they are suspended high above the ground with the swiftest of prehistoric predators.

Also when the Jurassic World VelociCoaster opens, it will be the world’s first coaster based on the blockbuster franchise and will feature an original story that expands upon the thrills, dinosaurs, and environments fans have seen on the big screen.

Before the thrills begin, riders will find themselves alongside the original cast of the films, Chris Pratt as Owen Grady, Bryce Dallas Howard as Claire Dearing, and BD Wong as Dr. Henry Wu.

The story takes place inside of Jurassic World as they are unveiling the next evolution of their “carnivore expansion” called the VelociCoaster where guests will embark on a high-speed chase and feel the rush of the hunt while racing alongside a nimble Velociraptor pack.

The Jurassic World VelociCoaster will raise the bar in extreme roller coaster design as it will span more than 4,700 feet of track and reach heights of up to 155 feet that will include signature maneuvers that will have guests twisting and soaring above land, barrel rolling just inches above the water, speeding through near-misses, launches within the paddock, and more…with just a lap restraint holding them in place.

The Jurassic World VelociCoaster will be the next addition of thrills inside the Jurassic Park land at Universal’s Islands of Adventure.
