Pick Six – Walt Disney World Christmas Ornaments

This holiday season has been a great one for those of us who are totally into Walt Disney World Merchandise, and this year’s Walt Disney World Christmas Ornaments definitely do not disappoint!

With some great new additions, returning favorites, and expanding offerings you are sure to find a Christmas ornament that speaks to you or is a perfect gift for a friend!

In today’s Pick Six, I am taking a look at a few of my favorite Walt Disney World Christmas Ornaments!

1. Princess and Villains Shoes

What I wouldn’t give to have REAL shoes just like this series!!!!

Designed to resemble the costumes and stories of each Princess and Female Villain, these high heel shoe ornaments don’t miss a detail.

This pair of Ariel pumps are to die for!

2. Occupation Christmas Ornaments

If you love what you do, are looking for a great gift for a co-worker, or a special gift for a service provider you might want to consider the Occupation Christmas Ornaments.

Mickey and Minnie not only depict everyday jobs, but they also are all dressed up for some of the most iconic Walt Disney World Cast Member roles.

3. Attraction Based Ornaments

Being far away from Walt Disney World for the holidays is always tough, but one way to make it a little easier and to show your family & friends your favorite attraction is by displaying Attraction Based Ornaments.

The Haunted Mansion has an ever expanding merchandise line, thank goodness, and this new ornament is absolutely adorable and fun!

4. Characters

We all have our favorite Disney Characters, mine in Minnie Mouse, and you can find some really great character Walt Disney World Christmas Ornaments.

They have a HUGE variety of character ornaments, and you will be surprised to see some of your favorite characters that don’t always have a ton of merchandise have their own ornament.

This WALL-E and Eve ornament is one of my favorites, because it captures the spirit of the movie and their characters!

5. Mickey Ear Hat Ornaments

This year the Mickey Ear Hat Ornament line has expanded greatly with new character designs, limited edition sets, and even attraction designs now available.

I love how this Big Thunder Mountain Mickey Ear Hat Ornament has trains running on both sides and great details from the ride!

6. Traditional Christmas Ornaments

If you are more of a traditionalist when it comes to choosing your Christmas Ornaments, you will love the line of glass ornaments that were created exclusively for Walt Disney World.

Glass ornaments with this level are generally expensive, but for the size and craftsmanship of these ornaments you can’t go wrong!

Also a really fun way to plus your Walt Disney World Christmas Ornaments is to have them personalized! For $3.00 per word at Ye Olde Christmas Shoppe at the Magic Kingdom and Disney’s Days of Christmas at Downtown Disney Marketplace, Cast Members with better handwriting than you and I could ever dream of having can add dates and names to a lot of fun Walt Disney World Christmas Ornaments!

Disney Collection By Vera Bradley Preview

If you are anything like me, I am BEYOND excited for the Disney Collection by Vera Bradley bags to be available in the parks and online!!!

My Mother has given me a Vera Bradley bag for every holiday and birthday for as long as I can remember, and at my baby shower she got Zoe and I matching duffle bags and purses to use when we were coming home from the hospital! And now that two of my favorite things are about to come together, I am almost giddy!

I love how the Disney Collection by Vera Bradley stays true to the spirit of both Vera Bradley and Disney, and is a very vibrant color palate and I love how Mickey and Minnie are arm-in-arm!

Midnight with Mickey is my favorite, because I love a great black purse and the colors are awesome!

Just Mousing Around is a lot of fun, and as the more whimsical of the two patterns it is going to be great collection for the spring or as a way to brighten up a dreary winter day!

Fans of Vera Bradley will notice that the prices of the Disney Collection by Vera Bradley bags are a little higher than bags in the current collection. However these prices are highly competitive against the Disney Dooney & Bourke and LeSportsac lines.

This morning I will be attending the media sneak peek of the Disney Collection by Vera Bradley, and I will be keeping you updated with pictures and information from the event on our Twitter and Facebook pages!

However, there will be a fun release party for the Disney Collection by Vera Bradley that will take place on September 21, 2013. This event is open to everyone willing to get up a little earlier than usual and will begin at 7:30 a.m. in the World of Disney at the Downtown Disney Marketplace at the Walt Disney World Resort.

Steven Miller shared a lot of great info on the Disney Parks Blog about the release of the Disney Collection by Vera Bradley that is good to keep in mind if you are planning on attending the release party!

First, I’m happy to announce that Barbara Bradley Baekgaard, Vera Bradley Co-founder and Chief Creative Officer, will also be attending the September 21 party. Barbara will be meeting with fans that morning from 8:00 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. A limited number of wristbands to meet Barbara will be distributed on a first come, first serve basis to guests who make purchases that morning.

If you are planning on attending the event on Saturday, please note that parking for Downtown Disney Marketplace will begin at 3:00 a.m., and guests may form a line in the designated queue outside World of Disney starting at 4:00 a.m. We will also be distributing wristbands to guests in line to ensure an enjoyable shopping experience for everyone.

We will have purchase limits in place at the World of Disney in Florida on September 21-22, 2013.
Guest purchase will be limited to one (1) of each style of Vera Bradley bags in the “Just Mousing Around” collection (8 styles total) and one (1) of each style of Vera Bradley bags in the “Midnight with Mickey” collection (8 styles total). While supplies last. Subject to change without notice.

Starting on Monday, September 23, the purchase limits will change slightly for Walt Disney World and Disneyland Resort locations:

As a reminder, the Disney Collection by Vera Bradley was created especially for Disney Parks. The collection will also be sold on the Disney Parks online store starting in late October 2013.

I am really excited to see the Disney Collection by Vera Bradley in person, and can’t wait to share with you!!!

Disney Dooney and Bourke D23 Expo Launch

Amid a ton of buzz and excitement, a new pattern of Disney Dooney and Bourke purses debuted at the D23 Expo Dream Store.

As you can see from the picture above, this pattern is a twist on a familiar favorite pattern! I was not a huge fan of the Disney Dooney and Bourke comic pattern in the past, so I was really interested in seeing this new addition in person.

The negative comic, no name has been formally given so this is what I am going with, is a very dark pattern. And while we have seen more patterns shift to a black background this bag takes it to another level.

I am always on the lookout for a black purse, and these bags are great! I really like the grey that they chose, and since the pattern features such a dark color palate it feels more sophisticated and ‘dressy’. But, I really think that these would look great with a red and white polka dot scarf tied to the strap to add a little whimsy and fun to the bag!

The Disney Dooney and Bourke Totes are my favorite bags!

I tend to gravitate towards larger bags since I seem to NEED to carry everything I own in my purse! The inside features some great pockets and the inside compartment is roomy. The tassels on the side are a really fun touch, too!

The Crossbody Dooneys are starting to grow on me, but I have a hard time fitting everything I need for a day in the parks or shopping in this bag. I adore crossbody bags and while this is a vast improvement over previous crossbody bag designs, it just isn’t my favorite silhouette in the Dooney line.

And this may sound really strange, but I am most excited about addition of the Pouch to this release! This pouch is a great price point for Disney Dooney and Bourke bags, and is incredibly flexible. At approximately the same size as a men’s toiletry bag, you could really use this pouch for any number of things! With that being said, I think it could also be a great gift for guy travelers to use, too! I am seriously kicking myself for not picking one of these pouches up!!!

Alex and Ani Disney Bracelets Debut at D23 Expo

At the D23 Expo Dream Store, new designs of the popular Alex and Ani Disney Bracelets debuted and they are awesome!

However, since they are expandable the Alex and Ani Disney Bracelets are a great fit for any size wrist or hand!

Animal Kingdom Merchandise

We have been showing a ton of love to Animal Kingdom this week, so I thought I would keep the ball rolling by taking a look at their large variety of merchandise.

With so many different lands inside of Animal Kingdom, the merchandise does a great job staying true to not only the message but location sold in the Park. Also, a you will be able to find merchandise that gives back to different foundations, such as the Disney’s Worldwide Conservation Fund, when you purchase them.

Shopping For Your Little Dude!

Last week we took at new merchandise that was for the Guys, so this week I thought that we could take a look at the options for the little dudes out there!

Since I shop for a little Princess, it was sooo much fun to take a walk on the other side of life!!!

I was totally surprised at how many different styles that are available!!! There are fun summer designs, skater stuff, and more traditional options. I really love the little Hawaiian style shirt!!!

FEED Our Small World Products Now Available At TrenD

This year marks the 45th anniversary of “It’s a Small World” at Disneyland, and to celebrate and carry on the message of It’s a Small World a line of products has been created to help children around the world.
