Silver Spurs Rodeo Celebrates 79 Years of Tradition

The Silver Spurs Rodeo is a staple of Central Florida history, and the Silver Spurs Riding Club will host Monster Bulls & Parade on February 11, 2023, followed by the 150th Silver Spurs Rodeo on February 17 – 19, 2023!

The Silver Spurs Riding Club will host the 12th Monster Bulls on Saturday, February 11th. They’re fierce. They’re feisty. They’re bred to buck! The 12^th Monster Bulls is a one-night-only event featuring the biggest and baddest Silver Spurs bulls as they go head-to-head with local cowboys hoping for a big payout.

In addition, on the morning of February 11^th, the Silver Spurs Riding Club will host the Silver Spurs Rodeo Parade in downtown St. Cloud.

Then the following weekend, the Silver Spurs Riding Club will host the 150^th Silver Spurs Rodeo on February 17-19, 2023!

For the second year, fans can now experience all Silver Spurs Rodeo events with an annual pass! Fans don’t have to miss a single buck while saving their bucks, with a savings of $45 in admission per person! Annual passes are available for purchase online at www.SilverSpursRodeo.com.

Plus, rodeo fans will be entertained by our rodeo clown and talented Silver Spurs Quadrille team, who perform a square dance on horseback, something the club has performed since its inception over 79 years ago.

Monster Bulls will be hosted by the Silver Spurs Riding Club on Saturday, February 12th. They’re fierce. They’re feisty. They’re bred to buck! Monster Bulls is a one-night-only event featuring the biggest and baddest Silver Spurs bulls as they go head-to-head with local cowboys hoping for a big payout

During the performances, rodeo fans will watch contestants from all over the nation compete in rodeo’s seven traditional events: bull riding, bareback riding, saddle bronc riding, tie-down roping, women’s barrel racing, steer wrestling, and team roping for an entire year of bragging rights and $55,000 in cash. Plus, rodeo fans will be entertained by our rodeo clown and talented Silver Spurs Quadrille team, who perform a square dance on horseback, something the club has performed since its inception 80 years ago.

Country Thunder Florida Returns in 2022

Country Thunder Florida will return to Kissimmee with all-new fall dates in 2022.

Country music’s hottest new superstar joins one of the biggest-selling artists in country music history for a one-two festival punch like no other. Jason Aldean joins previously announced showstopper, Morgan Wallen, along with hit machine Chris Young for the Sunshine State’s hottest fall party of ‘22!

“Country Thunder Florida has become the biggest country music event in Central Florida and we have these fans to thank,” says Country Thunder Music Festivals CEO, Troy Vollhoffer. “We had an amazing festival last fall with Eric Church, Dierks Bentley and Old Dominion. Silver Spurs Rodeo: Summer June Rodeo

The Silver Spurs Rodeo will be hosting their annual summer June Rodeo and fans will be treated to seven of rodeo’s traditional events: bull riding, bareback riding, saddle bronc riding, tie-down roping, women’s barrel racing, steer wrestling, and team roping.

Plus, for the first time at the Rodeo, there will be a breakaway roping event! Breakaway roping is a variation of calf roping where the calf is roped but not tied. As soon as the rope breaks off their saddle, the clock is stopped. This is the second Silver Spurs Rodeo event for the women of rodeo, the first being barrel racing.

Part of the June Rodeo tradition includes junior barrel racing and junior bull riding events, featuring young rodeo stars who are ready to get their career started in the Silver Spurs Arena!

Plus, the Silver Spurs Riding Club is bringing back everyone’s favorite before each performance, ‘mutton bustin’ (a sheep riding event for the kids)!

“Every summer, the Silver Spurs Rodeo is how our community kicks off the summer break from school, highlighting our local youth in bull riding, barrel racing, and Quadrille,” said Chris Baker, Big Boss of the Silver Spurs Rodeo. “We have been celebrating this tradition since 1944 in Osceola County. 2020 Silver Spurs Rodeo Details

This year the 144th Silver Spurs Rodeo will celebrate over 75 years of tradition in Osceola County with events at the Silver Spurs Arena in Osceola Heritage Park.

The Silver Spurs Riding Club will be hosting two action-packed rodeo events this February. The fans can witness extreme bull riding at the 9^th Annual Monster Bulls on February 15.

Then, on February 21, to celebrate Rodeo Day, the Silver Spurs Riding Club will bring the Silver Spurs Rodeo Parade through Downtown Saint Cloud. This event starts at the corner of Pennsylvania and 9^th Street at Centennial Park at 10 a.m. and is free for the public to enjoy.

Later that night, rodeo fans will be entertained watching seven of rodeo’s traditional events: bull riding, bareback riding, saddle bronc riding, tie-down roping, women’s barrel racing, steer wrestling and team roping.

Friday, February 21, is “Rodeo Day” in Osceola County, which means all Osceola County middle and high school students will receive free admission when they present their Osceola County school ID. Children 10 and under are free.
