On the Go in MCO: Fun for Adults

On the Go in MCO Fun for Adults

Don’t forget that you can catch these great events and more on the Obie & Ashley Unfiltered Podcast!

We’ve talked a lot about what families can do around town, but what if you want to spend the afternoon On the Go in MCO with some of your best friends?

I thought it would be fun to look at ways friends can have a fun day out together!

On the Go in MCO: Fun for Adults

Discovery Cove
Discovery Cove Shark Swim

Discovery Cove is an all-inclusive day resort, where you can swim with dolphins, snorkel among tropical fish and rays, hand-feed exotic birds, and have heartwarming encounters with other animals.

Your all-inclusive day includes breakfast, lunch, snacks throughout the day, as well as a selection of adult beverages.

What’s even better is that they have great Florida Resident deals throughout the year!

Revolution Adventures

With 230 acres of trails and an array of sporting adventures on offer, there is plenty to challenge both novice and seasoned adventurers.

If you’re looking for a motorized adventure, ATVs, Quads, 4-wheelers, and Buggies, are always a great deal of fun. But don’t forget about the UNIQUE “Mucky Duck,” an 8-wheeled amphibious vehicle that can be driven over land and through the lakes and ponds.

If you have always wanted to try an off-road activity without the wheels, then look no further than this location.

Adventures include Skeet Shooting, Target Archery, Archery Tag, Trophy Bass Fishing, and SO much more. This is the place where families from ages 7-70 can enjoy making lifelong memories together.

Escapology Orlando
Escapology Orlando On the Go in MCO

I promise you that Escape Rooms will have you feeling every emotion known to man in 60 minutes…and you’ll want to go back for more!

While there are a variety of Escape Rooms around town that are awesome, Escapology on I-Drive is my favorite!

They have seven different games to choose from…including Scooby-Doo and the Spooky Castle Adventure!

This is one of my favorite things to do with my friends!!!

SEA LIFE Orlando Madame Tussauds Orlando ICON Park Reopen May 2020
SEA LIFE Orlando

For Younger Ones: SEA LIFE Orlando , 8449 International Drive, Orlando, FL 32819

SEA LIFE, located at ICON Park on International Drive, is one of my absolute FAVORITE recommendations for families in Orlando as this aquarium offers great interactive displays and activities.

Shark Week kicks off Sunday, July 11th and just in time for the iconic week – SEA LIFE Orlando Aquarium has added some ‘jaw-some’ new shark activities around their 6 species of  sharks.

For Tweens & Teens: Putting Edge, 5250 International Drive, Orlando, FL 32819

Located in Dezerland Park, formerly Artegon, on International Drive, Putting Edge provides a new and exciting twist on the traditional game of mini-golf.

From the moment you enter the “Blacklit” courses, you have left “the real world” and have entered a universe full of fun, imagination, and activity.

You will be immersed in a kaleidoscope of dazzling “Glow-in-the-Dark” colors, images, and sounds, rocking your senses in unordinary, inevitable ways.

Transport from the ocean depths to lush rain forests, from medieval times to the Aztec jungles, as you vie to sink your putt on the 18- hole challenging mini-golf course.

Strike up an appetite for fresh sushi, pizza, burgers and other delish dishes—or simply catch up with friends over a few games and drinks. Whatever your pleasure, this isn’t your grandfather’s bowling alley!

For Adults: Arcade Monsters, 15 Alafaya woods BLVD, Suite 117. Oviedo FL, 32765

Arcade Monsters is the largest arcade in Florida with over 200 games in 7 themed rooms and an anime-themed bar.

While the Orange County Liberty Service programming may look a little different than it has in the past, they are still offering families free activities and incentives for summer reading!

With your OCLS library card you can attend their Summer Livestream Series of performances, learn new crafts, and kids can enjoy their own events where learning is fun.

And we can’t talk about the Library without mentioning a Summer Reading Program, and there’s still time for kids to join Tales & Tails!

Kids, ages 6 to 12, can participate in virtual events, track your reading and complete fun activities right at home to earn badges.

Museums with a Local Flair

Orlando is home to some amazing museum, and throughout the city you can find smaller museums that focus on the history of our area.

Some of my top picks are the Central Florida Railroad MuseumOrlando Fire MuseumWinter Park History MuseumLake Mary Historical MuseumCornell Fine Arts Museum, and the Holocaust Museum in Maitland.

These hidden gems are all free, and are guaranteed to give your entire family a new appreciation for the City Beautiful!
