Celebration Florida Kicks Off Sixth Annual Oktoberfest with Falling Leaves on

October 5th and 6^th with National Headliner-Ryan Cabrera

Celebration Florida will celebrate Oktoberfest on October 5 and 6.Celebration Town Center transforms before your very eyes as the falling leaves of the season drop on Market Street in the Fall Festival known as Oktoberfest. Listen for the rustling of leaves, relax by the lakeside and rock your troubles away, and enjoy the live music with family and friends in this one-of-a-kind themed extravaganza. It is Central Florida’s premier family-friendly Oktoberfest event.

On Friday October 5^thOktoberfest will be celebrated in the old-world German tradition featuring the sounds of Dan Witucki & Heimatland Musikanten. Come join in on the interactive live show featuring everything from yodeling to crowd sing-a-long fun.

Then, come back on October 6^th as Celebration Town Center welcomes a host of rock and roll entertainment for a night of “Rock”toberfest featuring national recording artist Ryan Cabrera(“On the Way Down” & “True” & more) as well as Jordyn Kane, and The Reflections Band.

Hop on a hayride, dance to terrific live music, paint a pumpkin, or just stroll and enjoy the crisp fall air and enjoy the great savings at the lakeside promenade.

Leaves fall daily in Celebration Florida at 7:00, 8:00, and 9:00 PM.

A Flashback 4th of July in Celebration, Fl

A Flashback 4th of July-An All-American Salute to Cinema

Come Celebrate July 4^th in style with A Flashback 4^th of July in beautiful Celebration, Florida. Regarded as one of the top fireworks shows in the Southeast, Celebration Town Center’s unique fireworks and event will be centered around “A Salute to Cinema” July 4^thwith A Flashback 4^th of July-A Salute to Cinema will begin at 5:30 PM and the movie themed fireworks show will get under way at 9:30 PM.

Celebration Town Center’s “A Flashback 4^th of July” will feature a movie themed costume contest at 7:30 PM, so come dressed as your favorite movie character for a chance to win big prizes. It will also feature a synchronized fireworks spectacular set to a movie theme, bounce houses for kids, live music by Mo Geetz, DJ Tami, Gina Marie Incandela and a whole lot more. Hosted by actor/host Justin Smith (The Vampire Diaries, VH1′s Single Ladies, Burn Notice, Meet the Spartans and more) So, get ready to dance the night away in a one of a kind family friendly event.

There will be something for people of all ages as Town Center’s KidZone will feature an assortment of inflatable games for kids and teens that will include a jousting area, a rock climbing wall, face painting and more.

Additional music will be offered by The Dixieland Jazz Band. This unique group, made up of former members of the “Rosie O’Grady’s Good Time Band” offers patriotic music for the whole family.

Sponsored in part by the Melia Suites Hotel, The Celebration Town Tavern, Celebration Sanitation, T-Creative, Axis Magazine, and Sam Adams this event will be “the can’t miss place to be” this July 4^th.

As always, Parking and Admission are FREE!!!!

Wordless Wednesday – Snow…In Celebration???

Celebration Kicks Off The Holiday Season In Style!

Celebration kicks off it’s exciting 13^th Annual Holiday Events on November 26^th with a schedule full of family fun!!!

The festivities begin on November 26^th with the tree lighting ceremony that will include performances, strolling carolers, the first snowfall of the season, a visit from the main man, and some surprises.

Gina Marie Incandela will perform at 5:30 pm to kick off the event, followed by a special tree lighting ceremony and the first snowfall of the season at 6:00 pm. Snow will also fall at 7, 8, and 9 pm.

Now Snowing, Central Florida’s original and premier “Snowing” event, offers an all new ice rink and a schedule filled with surprises. Now Snowing happens nightly until December 31^st.

This nightly Winter Wonderland Spectacular features strolling Charles Dickens Carolers, photos with Santa, horse drawn carriage rides, the Celebration Express train, and nightly snowfall at 6:00, 7:00, 8:00 and 9:00 PM.

The ice rink will be open daily from 4:00-10:00 PM through January 2^nd, and there are Resident and guest passes available.

In addition to the everyday fun at Now Snowing Nightly, join us for the Orlando Sentinel Celebration of Voices on December 3rd and you can catch a special Radio Disney Holiday concert and filled with surprise performances on December 10th.

Now Snowing Nightly parking and admission are free. Parking can get a little crazy, so you may want to plan on being here earlier than you think.

Fall In Celebration…I Love My Town!!!

We moved to Celebration a little less than a year ago, so this is our first Halloween here and I am really excited about being here!!!

The first thing we got to experience was Oktoberfest. The original dates of Oktoberfest were rained out, so they gave it another shot and it was wonderful!

Living so close to downtown is a blessing and a curse during these events, because while it is hard for visiting friends to find parking near the house it is also a huge convenience to be able to walk down to the fun!

There are tons of concerts and activities during this two day event, however the highlight for Zoe was the leaves falling! Leaves fall at 7, 8, & 9 pm and you get cute little bags from the downtown merchants to catch them. It was a hoot to watch the kids (both big and small) scramble to catch these leaves!!!

346 — When it got close to the first falling of the leaves, everyone started to make their way downtown.

Another highlight of Fall in Celebration is the Annual Pumpkin Patch at the Community Presbyterian Church in Celebration (511 Celebration Avenue), where you can purchase a pumpkin and take some great pictures to help a great cause. 100% of your pumpkin purchases benefit Help Now of Osceola, Inc, a non-profit organization that helps provide shelter and empowers survivors of domestic and sexual violence.

And right around the corner from the pumpkin patch is the pirate house! This family really knows how to do it up for Halloween!!! Every year they transform their house into a pirate ship…Enter if ye dare…

So of course, we had to get in the act!!! And with the help of some amazing friends (Thank you Tom, Emily, Todd, Cheryl, Dan, and Shalon!!!!) this weekend we carved pumpkins and started to decorate around the house for the upcoming swarm of Trick-Or-Treaters!!! I am hoping for more treats than tricks…

After Halloween things calm down to celebrate Founders Day in Celebration on November 11th, which I am really looking forward to attending!!!

And then before you know it is Thanksgiving and the snow begins to fall…but more about that later! 🙂 I want to enjoy my first fall here as long as I can!!!

So where have you been…

Well it is about to happen…

We move into our house in Celebration on Friday, but I am not quite sure how I am feeling about everything.

Moving from Virginia has definitely been an adventure, but as we edge closer to getting the keys I find myself becoming more and more nervous.

We have had an ultimate goal of moving to Orlando in the back of our heads for quite some time, and now that it is here I find myself at a little bit of a loss…

I can’t help but wonder what happens next.

I have been absolutely overwhelmed with all the love and support that the WDW family (or mishpacha for Todd Perlmutter) has shown me, and I believe my ultimate goal is to pass on that same hospitality and cheering section onto others!

So if you’re headed through the MCO…LET ME KNOW!!! I’d love to meet up, share a frozen coke, and maybe a spin on the Peoplemover.

And I’ll continue to feature more of what I see as I am On the Go in MCO, and hopefully one day you will all be here with me!!!
