A Visit to Crumbl Cookies

Living in Orlando, we are spoiled with choices when it comes to sweet snacks and treats, and it is hard to branch out from the places that have been around forever and so we tend to stick to where we know.

Recently I had been seeing a lot of California friends posting about a yummy cookie store called Crumbl, a cookie shop where the cookies are decorated so pretty and come presented in a beautiful pink pastry box that we have all come to associate with the best kind of bakeries.

Crumbl Cookies

I searched online and found 4 locations in Florida with two in South Florida, one in Lutz close to Tampa and one in Lake Mary that is closest to Orlando.

It is still a bit of a drive, but it’s not too far of a drive to make when warm cookies are involved!

What is really cool about this place is the many options they have to get their cookies, you can order online and pick up curbside (my favorite option) you can chose to have them delivered (locally) and they can even be shipped. If you want to look at the cookies first you can order inside at the counter, or at the touch screen computers inside the store.

They even have a space where you can watch the cookies coming out of the oven and decorated. it reminded me a lot of Sprinkles in Disney Springs in that way.

If you order online, you just choose an estimated time of arrival, and once you pull up you click to let them know you are there, and once they are ready they bring them right out.

You can even get the box gift wrapped with ribbon and chose a message sticker to go over it for an extra $1 which is really cute if you are surprising someone with a box.

Even if you get one single cookie it still comes in a really cute little pink box.

Crumbl features 6 cookie flavors at a time, and two of the cookies are their staple flavors, the Warm Milk Chocolate Chip and the Chilled Sugar cookie, that are always offered.

Then they have 120 PLUS, specialty flavors that rotate weekly! You can head to their website to see which they offer each week or download the app, which I recommend because then you get points and birthday offers, etc.

The first time we went, we got two of the Chilled Sugar cookies, and two of the Pink Velvet.

The Sugar cookie was good with a strong almond taste, so I may not get that one next time.

But the Pink Velvet was what dreams are made of, I’m not even exaggerating they were that good!

The buttercream on top was just amazing, I will be sad when this one rotates off the menu for a while.

The next time we went, which was very close to the first time, we got the Cinnamon Swirl, Molten Lava, and the Peanut Butter Bar.

We were supposed to get the Caramel Popcorn but they gave us two Peanut Butter instead.

We did love these as well, just not as much as the aforementioned Pink Velvet!

The first Crumbl store opened in Logan, UT in 2017, since then, the franchise has expanded to over 75 locations in 11 states nationwide!

They are currently in the middle of opening one in Winter Springs, Florida, too.

The Lake Mary bakery is located at 245 Wheelhouse Lane, Suite #1441, Lake Mary, Florida, 32746.

They are open Monday through Thursday 8 AM-10 PM and Fridays 8 AM-12 AM, they are closed on Sundays.

Universal Orlando Mardi Gras 2021

Universal Orlando continues to implement its enhanced health and safety procedures and guidelines focused on “screening, spacing, and sanitization,” and those practices will be applied to all experiences taking place during Mardi Gras 2021: International Flavors of Carnaval.

Key measures include screening guests and team members, enforcing social distancing, requiring face coverings, limiting capacity, and increasing the already-aggressive cleaning and disinfection procedures. Guests may remove their face coverings while actively eating or drinking, but must be stationary and maintain appropriate social distancing.

Discovery Cove Offers Romantic Getaways

Discovery Cove Grand Reef Couple

Discovery Cove offers a slice of tropical paradise in the middle of Central Florida that is the perfect place for couples to spend a fantastic day together.

If you aren’t familiar with this hidden gem that is one of my top picks in Orlando, Discovery Cove provides guests with the opportunity to relax in a beautiful, safe, outdoor environment filled with animal encounters with a very limited capacity.

During your day at Discovery Cove, couples can get back to nature and experience a swim with dolphins during a modified experience or explore the stunning coral reef habitat at The Grand Reef.

Discovery Cove Freshwater Oasis Trail

Relaxation comes naturally, whether riding the soothing currents along Wind-Away River, enjoying the melodies of colorful feathered friends in the Explorer’s Aviary, or simply soaking up the sun on the white sandy beaches with plenty of open space for physical distancing.

In addition to inspiring animal experiences, guests to Discovery Cove enjoy a freshly prepared breakfast, lunch, and all-you-can-eat snacks throughout the day, plus unlimited gourmet coffee, ice-cold beverages, and beer and wine for guests 21 and over.

For the convenience of Discovery Cove guests, parking, lockers, wetsuits, and swim gear are also included with your admission to the tropical getaway.

Discovery Cove Caran

Guests looking for additional enhancements during their visit to Discovery Cove may enjoy a reserved, private cabana, starting at just $199. Private cabanas come complete with everything from waterway views, chaise lounges, towel service, stocked mini-fridge, snack basket, photo package, reserved seating for dining, and more.

Discovery Cove Sunken Terrace

And to help make Valentine’s Day celebrations even more romantic Discovery Cove has partnered with four fan-favorite hotels and resorts to create exclusive Romance Packages that include resort admission, hotel accommodations, upgraded beverage service, and more.

For their staycation couples can choose from a night at the luxurious five-star Ritz-Carlton Orlando, Grande Lakes, the JW Marriott Orlando, Grande Lakes, or they can select the Renaissance Orlando at SeaWorld or the DoubleTree by Hilton Orlando at SeaWorld, both Official Hotels of SeaWorld.

Each property offers unique amenities, services, and special touches to make your weekend perfectly yours.

The four Romance Packages are available for visits from January 28 through February 28, 2021, with reservations available at DiscoveryCove.com/Romance.

Discovery Cove Orlando Valentine's Day Dolphin Experience

Due to the exclusivity of the experience and capacity limitations, advance reservations are required, and daily attendance is limited to ensure no overcrowding. Couples will be greeted at a reception center and proceed down a nature walk for their day of discovery.

Discovery Cove Welcome

During these unprecedented times, Discovery Cove understands that visitors are looking for flexibility in their vacation planning, which is why the resort offers the Book with confidence policy which allows guests free cancellations and a 100% refund if guests need to cancel more than 30 days prior to their reservation date.

The Chick-Fil-A Christmas Spectacular at the Citrus Tower

The Citrus Tower in Clermont has brought back its light show for the first time since they stopped the show 2 years ago. The new light show this year features 50,000 lights on the 226-foot tower, synchronized to music and snowfall.

Owners Scott and Heather Homan reached out to the community for help and support in funding the return of the show. They were seeking people to purchase $100 annual memberships, and the proceeds from those sales would go toward the light show. Then, Chick-Fil-A of Clermont’s owner Rocky DeStafano contributed 20-free chicken sandwich vouchers per membership, and sales spiked. With the support of other local business groups and the Real Life Church, they were able to meet the funding needed to make the show happen.

This 360-degree light show truly is one of a kind, and something we felt is very safe to be able to go view during these times of Covid-19. As you can see, it is really easy to social distance from people here. At first, we stayed in our car, but then we got out to view it better since the parking lot gives you plenty of space to stay away from others safely. They do have an announcement asking that children are monitored since it is a working parking lot.

Back in March this year, they had some lights attached to communicate hope amid the worldwide Coronavirus pandemic. But bringing back this light show was so magical, they even have snow machines set up and have a little closed off area right up front for people to stand closer away from the parking lot.

The owners have recently transformed the inside of the building adding a coffee shop, arcade, and a board game store. They also added free Wi-Fi, air conditioning, and a new seating area at the top of the tower to sit and enjoy the views, maybe with a coffee from downstairs.

The show will run until January 1st from 6-10 pm every night. Their Facebook page suggests you wear a mask at all times, social distance when possible, and to remain in your car to view the show if you are at risk for Covid. If you are comfortable heading inside (wear a mask please) the Citrus Coffee Company inside the lobby has a limited-time Christmas Drink: Ginger Snap S’More Latte available for purchase among other sweet treats.

The Florida Citrus Tower is located at 141 S Hwy 27, Clermont FL 34711.
