Space 220 Epcot

Space 220 Restaurant and Lounge in Epcot at the Walt Disney World Resort promises to provide the ‘height of dining’ to visitors when it opens in 2020, and the Patina Restaurant Group has released new details about their latest signature table-service.

Space 220 Logo

If you aren’t familiar with the concept, Space 220 will invite guests to feel as though they have traveled into the cosmos. The simulated expedition will provide stunning views of Earth by day and night in a new out-of-this-world culinary experience among the stars.

The adventure begins when a crew member invites guests to step inside the restaurant’s space elevator and prepare for liftoff. Guests will feel as if they are on a scenic excursion traveling 220 miles directly above Earth’s surface, docking at the Centauri Space Station suspended just beyond the orbit of Mission: SPACE.

Upon their arrival at the restaurant, guests will be guided to their seats past the grow zone, a spinning wall of produce that mimics Earth’s gravity and represents some of the fresh ingredients used by the culinary team.

“I look forward to welcoming guests to Space 220, an immersive culinary journey intended to celebrate the wonders of our solar system and transport guests 220 miles above Earth’s surface to experience the height of dining,” said Nick Valenti on behalf of Patina Restaurant Group and parent company, Delaware North.

Minnie’s Wonderful Christmastime Fireworks

Minnie’s Wonderful Christmastime Fireworks are the newest addition to Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party, and I am really excited to share them with you!

During the fireworks show, Minnie Mouse is our host and she is inviting everyone to come together in a celebration of the magic of Christmas.

The sky above Cinderella Castle fills with fireworks, as medleys of beloved holiday songs, from “Joy to the World” and “Deck the Halls” to “Up on the House Top” and “We Wish You A Merry Christmas” echo throughout the Magic Kingdom.

The music of the show evokes heartfelt moments of home and family, as well as the festive fun of the season, all building to an incredible finale.

KEEP IN MIND!!!!

Minnie’s Wonderful Christmastime Fireworks only happen ONCE during Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party, so if seeing them is important to you make sure that you keep an eye on the time as you are exploring the park.

Hot Take…

Minnie's Wonderful Christmastime Fireworks Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party 2019

This show is visually stunning, but unlike the Disney Not So Spooky Spectacular during Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party there is no ‘physical’ host for you to watch so if you can’t get up close and center to the castle…don’t worry! Just stand back and enjoy them from any vantage point you can.

If you are looking for a SUPER unique way to see Minnie’s Wonderful Christmastime Fireworks, head over to new Fantasyland just outside of the Be Our Guest Restaurant and watch them fly over Beast’s castle. You won’t see the projections, but the vantage point is really neat!

I’m smitten with Minnie’s Wonderful Christmastime Fireworks, because they are like a holiday hug from Minnie!

I 10/10 recommend!!!

Halloween at Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon

The Disney Park’s Blog shared that there will be a unique way to celebrate Halloween at Walt Disney World this year at Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon!
Typhoon Lagoon
Typhoon Lagoon Surf Pool

This year, you can spend Halloween day at Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon water park enjoying the shorter fall wait times (I hope I just didn’t jinx anything) and exclusive activities!

When you think of Halloween you might not think of water slides and sandy beaches, but this is Florida!

7 Ways to Celebrate Halloween at Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon

1. Go Trick or Treating

Who says trick or treating is just for kids? For the first time, guests of all ages can grab some goodies at Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon. Check out all three candy stops: Typhoon Lagoon’s front entrance, Singapore Sal’s and Safe Harbor.

If you love Dole Whip, you definitely need to try this all-new spooky dessert. Available for one day only at Happy Landings Ice Cream, the I-Scream Cone features Orange Dole Whip Soft Serve, a sandwich cookie waffle cone, colorful Halloween sprinkles and a white chocolate surfboard.

3. Meet Your Favorite Disney Characters in Their Halloween Costumes

Shiver me timbers! Mickey Mouse and Donald Duck are ready to celebrate Halloween, pirate style. Sailing to Typhoon Lagoon for one day only, look for Mickey and Donald near the Clock Tower.

4. Show Off Your Dance Moves

No Halloween celebration is complete without great music. Head to the Clocktower stage near the Typhoon Lagoon Surf Pool for an unforgettable DJ Dance Party and some wickedly good beats.

5. Bring Home a Halloween Craft

From tie-dye projects to coloring pages, the arts and crafts at Disney water parks are always a great way for families to spend quality time together. And in honor of Halloween, you can decorate your very own mini-pumpkin.

6. Check Out Pumpkin Carvings at Singapore Sal’s

Carving jack-o-lanterns has always been one of my favorite Halloween traditions. Visit Singapore Sal’s for a festive display of carved pumpkins. You can even vote on your favorite!

7. Enjoy Fall Treats All Season Long

In addition to all of the exclusive Halloween festivities at Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon, you can also try fall-inspired menu items including Pumpkin Milkshakes, Pumpkin Cream Churros and Pumpkin Sundaes. Available now through November 23, 2019.

These new Halloween offerings at Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon let you experience both the Disney Water Parks and Halloween in a whole new way.

Preparing for Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party

Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party is always a blast, but to make sure we have a great time there are things that I make sure that I pack in my bag to have during the party.

Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party

1. Necessities

Packing a Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party Bag - Necessities

I always have what I call a ‘Bag of Necessity’ with me in the parks, but for Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party I will sometimes travel light and just carry medicine, a nail file, lip balm, and gum.

If you want to see what is usually in my crazy, Mary Poppins ‘Bag of Necessity’ here you go…

2. Charger & Cord

Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party Fuel Rod and cord

I always have a portable charger and cord with me in my bag, and I love having a Fuel Rod because you can exchange it in the park without having to worry about charging it at home before you go. It was the best $30 investment!!!

I like to keep the charger and cord in a zip-top bag, because it makes it easier to find and keeps it dry should it start to rain.

3. Extra Zip-Top Bag For My Phone

Packing a Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party Bag - Zip Top Bag for Cell Phone

So while my iPhone is water resistant, I always like to be SUPER safe so I carry an extra zip-top bag with me for my phone.

4. Hand Sanitizer

Packing a Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party Bag - Hand Sanitizer

Sometimes you need to eat candy, and you need to eat it now…so hand sanitizer!

5. MagicBand and Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party Ticket

While you can link yourMickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party ticket to you MagicBand, I always like to carry mine with me just in case!

5. Gallon Size Zip-Top Bags

Packing a Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party Bag - Gallon Zip Top Bags

What aren’t gallon size zip-top bags good for at Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party?

I like to use them to put candy in (those handles get stretchy as the night goes on), keep my maps together, and even to share with others who may need them!

6. Raincoat In Zip-Top Bag

Packing a Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party Bag - Raincoat in Zip Top Bag

I always like to carry my raincoat with me to Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party, because I can use it when it rains, if I get cold, or if someone in a stroller needs a cover for sleep.

I also always keep it in a zip-top bag so if it does rain for a little bit, I can always take it off and put it back in my bag without getting everything else in the bag wet.

7. Wipes

Packing a Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party Bag - Wipes

If you are stuck on a curb waiting for Mickey’s Boo To You Parade with sticky hands, these wipes come in handy!

They’re also great for stains, taking off face paint, and almost anything else. Plus how adorable is this Mickey pattern????

8. Extra Camera Batteries In A Zip-Top Bag

Packing a Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party Bag - Extra Batteries

Extra camera batteries are good to have, because you never know how snap-happy you will get at Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party!

Again, I carry them in a zip-top bag to keep them organized and dry.

9. Savory Snacks

Packing a Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party Bag - Savory Snacks

Man cannot survive on candy alone…no matter how many times you tell yourself that! So to avoid the crazy food lines during Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party, I like to carry savory snacks.
