Praise Wave, an annual SeaWorld Orlando event, brings popular Christian Music acts to Orlando
This year SeaWorld Orlando is hosting special celebrations every weekend, and this November their popular Christian music event, Praise Wave, returns.
During the event guests can enjoy live musical performances by some of the hottest names in Christian music and celebrate in an atmosphere filled with Christian friendship, thrilling rides, and inspiring animal attractions.
The uplifting live concert event series takes place Saturdays, November 2 – November 16 at 1:00 p.m. and 5:00 p.m. each Saturday in the park’s Nautilus Theater and are included with park admission.
The SeaWorld Orlando Praise Wave 2019 musical performances include:
Rend Collective – Saturday, November 2
Amidst so much heaviness consuming events of today’s world, Rend Collective is sharing good news as a response to that brokenness. The Ireland-hailing Rend Collective is harkening back to their roots-y, unique sound – originally birthed out of Bangor, Ireland – for their sixth studio album, Good News. Taking on the moniker “Purveyors of Good News,” Rend Collective is barreling down the road of authenticity, and simple old-fashioned Gospel. Grown away from industry or formula, each song from Good News is deeply connected to the band’s roots in missional community – a group of people, or extended family, who are united through Christian community around a common service and witness to a particular neighborhood or network of relationships – much like the band themselves.
Francesca Battistelli – Saturday, November 9
Two and a half years ago, the singer/songwriter set out to create the follow-up to 2014’s If We’re Honest. She intended to make a worship record. It seemed like a logical artistic direction following a string of critically-acclaimed collaborations with Bethel Music and the massive success of her version of “Holy Spirit,” which earned Battistelli her first GRAMMY® Award. However, as she and her husband, Matt, began to pray before each co-write, what emerged wasn’t congregational worship anthems. Instead, empowering pop songs started surfacing, and track-by-track, Battistelli began to build her fourth studio LP, Own It.
Natalie Grant – Saturday, November 16
Seven-time GRAMMY nominated Natalie Grant is known for her powerful, soaring vocals, heart-gripping lyrics, passionate performances, and has remained one of the top-selling Christian & Gospel artists since, her 2005 breakout RIAA Gold certified album, Awaken. She has since gone on to have nearly 4 million in career sales. The Gospel Music Association has named her Female Vocalist of the Year 5 times and she has had multiple number 1’s on the Billboard singles and albums charts, including her most recent record titled, Be One.
Reserved seating packages for all performances are available online at SeaWorldOrlando.com and start at $15.

SeaWorld Orlando will amplify thrills with this multi-launch, family friendly coaster – Ice Breaker
Coaster fans get ready because SeaWorld Orlando has revealed details regarding their new roller coaster coming to the park in 2020!
Making its debut in Spring 2020, riders will shiver through family-friendly adventures on SeaWorld Orlando’s first launch coaster: Ice Breaker.
Named after the icy Arctic summits, Ice Breaker will feature four launches, both backwards and forwards, culminating in a reverse launch into the steepest beyond vertical drop in Florida — a 93-foot tall spike with 100-degree angle.
What’s even better is that the thrill is family-friendly with a rider height requirement of only 48 inches.
Located near the Wild Arctic Attraction, the ride’s theme is reflective of this area with a nod to Ice Breaker’s conservation partner, Alaska SeaLife Center. Primarily dedicated to marine research, education and wildlife response, the Alaska SeaLife Center mission matches closely to SeaWorld Orlando’s, making them a perfect partner to help educate riders about the Artic and its inhabitants.
“The Alaska SeaLife Center is excited to grow our partnership with SeaWorld. For many years, SeaWorld has been a stalwart supporter of the Center, and particularly our Wildlife Response program,” said Tara L. Riemer, President and CEO of Alaska SeaLife Center. “We are grateful for SeaWorld’s contributions of funding and staff over the years to further our mission. This new collaboration will continue efforts to highlight Arctic rescue and conservation stories.”
The opening of Ice Breaker is the perfect addition to SeaWorld’s ever-growing ride portfolio. From the roller coaster thrills of Mako, Manta and Kraken, to the water rapids of Infinity Falls and the flume fun of Journey to Atlantis, Ice Breaker joins the park’s famed attractions as a must-do experience in Orlando.

Disney’s Animal Kingdom
For over two years “Rivers of Light” has filled the Discovery River Amphitheater at Disney’s Animal Kingdom nightly with stunning imagery and mystical music, and this summer a new, enhanced version of the show called “Rivers of Light: We are One” brings a distinctively Disney twist to the nighttime pageant.
The new chapter introduces new imagery featuring familiar animal characters from Disneynature films and classic moments from Disney animation with familiar Disney themes mixed into the original score.
Disney’s Hollywood Studios
Disney’s Hollywood Studios is celebrating its 30th Anniversary, and while Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge will open later in the summer a new nighttime projection show has already debuted at the park.

Epcot
At the end of the summer after nearly 20 years, “IllumiNations: Reflections of Earth” will be ending its nightly run on Epcot’s World Showcase Lagoon.
The show which filled the park with with energetic music, fireworks, special effects, lasers, and so much more will make way for the debut of the “Epcot Forever” limited-time spectacle on October 1, 2019.

The triple-launch coaster takes thrills to new heights as riders face a 150’ upward surge, dramatic heartline roll and top speeds exceeding 60 miles per hour through the night sky.
For the second year in a row, Aquatica Orlando has opened a new attraction – KareKare Curl – brining a new thrill to my favorite waterpark!
In case you were wondering where the attraction gets its name, let me tell you!
“KareKare” means “waves” in the Maori language and when combined with “Curl” meaning in a curved shape, this new ride could be described as a “curve shaped wave” which riders will experience when climbing the vertical wave wall in a high-adrenaline experience full of moments of weightlessness.
As with any new attraction, there are a few things know about before you board your raft to take on. KareKare Curl.
Know Before You Go – KareKare Curl
On KareKare, there are no single riders allowed and the ride requires two riders per raft.
The maximum weight combined of both riders is 400 lbs (182 kgs) with an individual maximum weight of 250 lbs (113 kgs).
Riders must be 48 inches tall to ride KareKare Curl.
There is a new raft design for KareKare Curl where you ride face to face with your ride buddy.
More timid riders are able to wear a life vest, and they’re free to use and can be found just outside of the entrance to the attraction,
Currently, KareKare Curl is not part of their Quick Queue program…but it looks like it will be later this year!
You can take a look at the full list of Safety Instructions below…
Will you be taking a ride on KareKare Curl at Aquatica? I know I will!!!
