This year shopping during Mardi Gras at Universal Studios Florida has been kicked up a notch with the immersive Tribute Store, located on the streets of New York.
You can tell from the exterior that the Mardi Gras Tribute Store has a totally different vibe from the party that happens on the surrounding streets.
The store has two distinct rooms that are filled with the sights, sounds, and even smells of the ‘Tribute Cemetery’ and ‘The Bayou.’
This mausoleum detail is really stunning in person!
And this guy in ‘The Bayou’ is INCREDIBLY creepy!!!!!
While the Tribute Store design is amazing, let’s take a look at the merchandise you can find inside!
I am seriously obsessed with the retro feel of the Universal Orlando Mardi Gras 25th Anniversary artwork!
It wouldn’t be Mardi Gras without beads, and in the store you can find a variety of premium beads!

Disney’s Aladdin has entertained audience members around the world, and beginning January 22 the show will begin a 24-performance run on the Walt Disney Theatre stage at Orlando’s Dr. Phillips Center for the Performing Arts.
Disney’s Aladdin brings the timeless Disney animated feature film to life with fan-favorite songs from the film as well as new music written by Tony and Academy Award winner Alan Menken with lyrics penned by the legendary Howard Ashman, Tony Award winner Tim Rice and book writer Chad Beguelin.
I am beyond excited to see “Friend Like Me”, featuring the Genie and all his antics!

Here are a few thing to keep in mind if you are planning on attending Disney’s Aladdin at the Dr Phillips Center for the Performing Arts:
Parking can be purchased in advance for valet and two garages, Seaside Plaza and City Commons, online before you arrive to make parking a breeze.
All persons entering the theater, regardless of age, must have a ticket to enter the theatre.
Only purchase tickets directly from the Dr. Phillips Center for the Performing Arts in person or online at Drphillipscenter.org.
The Disney Parks Blog shared that 2020 is going to be iconic as fashion icon Minnie Mouse will have a new monthly series of merchandise coming to the Disney Parks around the world, Disney store and online at shopDisney.com!
Minnie Mouse: The Main Attraction is an all-new, limited-release series featuring none other than Minnie Mouse herself honoring beloved Disney parks attractions around the world, and a new collection from the series will be released on the third Saturday of each month throughout 2020.
Each collection will feature an attraction-themed assortment with items such as a Minnie Mouse ear headband, plush, pin, mug, mini backpack or hip pack by Loungefly, and even a Walt Disney World Resort MagicBand.
As seen above, first up is the Space Mountain collection celebrating the 45th anniversary of this iconic attraction at Walt Disney World Resort. It releases later this month on Jan. 18 at Walt Disney World Resort and Disneyland Resort as well as in the Disney store nationwide or online at shopDisney.com.

The M&M’s Orlando Store is coming to Disney Springs’ West Side, near the NBA Experience, in 2020 bringing sweet treats and merchandise to Walt Disney World!
Disney Springs West Side is already bustling with excitement as it is home to the recently opened NBA Experience and will also open the new Cirque du Soleil show (slated to premiere on April 17, 2020) and Beatrix Neighborhood Restaurant in 2020.

The new state-of-the-art store will offer an immersive experience that combines the colorful fun that fans of the M&M’S brand enjoy with lasting memories.
“Guests will be fully immersed into an interactive chocolate experience that will create more moments and more smiles through the colorful fun of M&M’S,” said Patrick McIntyre, director of global retail at Mars Retail Group.
Currently The M&M’s Orlando Store is open at the Florida Mall.

The Loungefly backpack was SUPER popular with guests at Disney’s Riviera Resort the day I went. These backpacks are a great size for the park with padded shoulder straps. If there is a selection available, make sure you take a moment to find a placement of the pattern that you love!
So this woven fedora with blue and white stripe band matches the vibe of Disney’s Riviera Resort perfectly! Also, how perfect is the Double R logo on the gold button???
I am calling it now…these rose gold ears are THE piece of Disney’s Riviera Resort merchandise that will be the most sought after! The pattern on the bow’s fabric feels very Lilly Pulitzer, but the colors are more Tory Burch…I hope that makes as much sense as it did in my mind!
The Disney’s Riviera Resort luggage features two patterns. On the front you can find the Resort’s name with a vintage steamer feel, and on the back you will find a Hidden Mickey pattern that is similar to those found around the Resort.
Topolino’s Terrace at Disney’s Riviera Resort has a character breakfast and the characters wear Resort exclusive costumes, so of course Disney’s Riviera Resort sells plush with the same costumes for you to take home.

RRunning Universal’s inaugural Epic Character Race 5K and 10K weekend will take off at Universal Orlando Resort on February 1 & 2, 2020 – but it wouldn’t be complete without a gaggle of larger-than-life characters cheering on the runners along the way.
The first-ever Epic Character Races will give participants ages five and up the unique opportunity to run surrounded by some of the most beloved characters in pop culture. Runners will be championed by mischievous Minions from Illumination’s Despicable Me and Minions franchises, Velociraptor Blue from the Jurassic World franchise with her Raptor Expert, the world’s favorite ogre Shrek and his friends from the DreamWorks Animation films, the heroic Autobots and villainous Decepticons from Transformers and more. If runners need a pit-stop along the routes, many of these characters will be available for fun photo opportunities – making Running Universal’s Epic Character Race both an entertaining event and a race to remember.
Runners will also experience the exhilaration of running within the immersive theme park environments of Universal Studios Florida and Universal’s Islands of Adventure – recently named TripAdvisor Travelers’ Choice for #1 Amusement Park in the World for the fifth year in a row.
5K runners will make their way through the Universal Studios Florida theme park – including the iconic scenery of New York, San Francisco and other areas of the park – as well as areas located toward the front of Islands of Adventure, including the mystical Port of Entry and Seuss Landing.
Runners of the 10K will experience a route that takes them throughout both Universal Studios and Islands of Adventure theme parks, including the sprawling lands of Jurassic Park, Toon Lagoon and more.
Registration is open for Running Universal’s Epic Character Race, with standard pricing beginning at $82 per person (plus tax). Runners can choose from multiple options for an unforgettable weekend, including 5K or 10K race registration, VIP race upgrades – which includes an extra-special character meet-and-greet and a triumphant post-race breakfast – and weekend package options exclusive to race participants, featuring hotel accommodations at the all-new Universal’s Endless Summer Resort – Surfside Inn and Suites. Reigning American Country Music (ACM) “Artist of the Decade” Jason Aldean announced his 2020 We Back Tour, which includes supporting artists Morgan Wallen, Riley Green and Dee Jay Silver on the first leg of the tour. The Imagineering Story is a docuseries fromfilmmaker Leslie Iwerks that pulls back the curtain on the work of Imagineers who have made real-life magic at the Disney Parks for decades. Narrated by Angela Bassett, the six-hour series chronicles the history of the Imagineers, beginning with the inception of Disneyland and tracing the development of all the of the Disney parks and all of the fantastical lands within them (yes, including Galaxy’s Edge) to the present day.
