The much-anticipated Connections Café and Eatery will be opening soon at Epcot, and I am excited to share a sneak peek at their menu.

Connections Café and Eatery will be a unique experience, “embracing the cultures from around the world and bringing them to you in true EPCOT fashion.”

Connections Eatery is a new fast-casual quick-service restaurant. What makes it unique is that it gets its inspiration from delicious cuisines from across the globe.
As part of World Celebration, where we embrace coming together and enjoying the magic of possibility, the purpose of Connections Eatery is to show us how food has the power to bring us together if we open our minds (and our stomachs)!
Once inside, you can get a glimpse of the chefs in action as you watch desserts get their finishing touches and witness pizza makers work their magic crafting pizza dough.

Mighty St. Patrick’s Festival at Raglan Road

The Mighty St. Patrick’s Festival is back in full swing this year from March 11-17 at Raglan Road Irish Pub & Restaurant with top Irish bands flown in for the celebration.

The most authentic Irish festival in America will take it to the Disney Springs street outside Raglan Road with extraordinary Irish talent arriving from Ireland, five outside bars, fun St. Paddy’s merchandise, and more.

Award-winning Irish musicians and the Raglan Road Irish Dancers will rock the fun throughout this lively festival that leads up to the mother of all Irish holidays.

2022 Mighty St. Patrick’s Festival

This year’s Mighty St. Patrick’s Festival musical lineup will shine with top bands flown in from Ireland!

Raglan Road Irish Pub Disney Springs Mighty St. Patrick’s Festival

Jig Jam, known for their captivating brand of CeltGrass; and the Lisa Canny Band, blending pop and hip-hop with traditional Irish rhythm. Rounding out the lineup will be: Emerald Shore, rocking the house with their vibrant trad music; Men of Aran, charming audiences with electric energy and sublime musicianship; and Blain Curtis, a talented Dublin songwriter/guitarist mixing Irish ballads and modern Irish songs.

The Raglan Road Irish Dancers, plucked from the casts and stages of the world’s greatest Irish dance shows, will perform throughout the festival.

“Our imported Irish talent lineup is exceptional—these entertainers are not seen nor heard in any other location in the U.S. on St. Patrick’s Day,” says pub co-owner John Cooke. “Everyone can enjoy this expanded festival, which includes gift competitions and loads of giveaways. The Mighty Festival remains the best Irish hospitality experience in America.”

Especially for the Mighty St. Patrick’s Festival, a new berry-forward St. Paddy’s brew, “So Berry Les,” is on tap for the holiday and on into spring.

Crafted in collaboration with Crooked Can Brewing Co. in Winter Garden, Fla., So Berry Les is a refreshing hard seltzer infused with local Florida strawberry (‘tis the season!) and Key Lime juice. The brew pays tribute to Raglan Road co-owner John Cooke’s father, Les, who in 1977 earned a spot in the Guinness Book of World Records for buying the dearest strawberries at a charity auction for a record 530 Irish punt—equivalent to the British pound—to generate publicity for his restaurant business.

Back at Raglan Road’s Shop for Ireland boutique, guests will find an array of St. Patrick’s Day merchandise and a unique range of authentic Irish clothing and gifts including Celtic jewelry, apparel, hats, home goods, and toys.

Reservations are encouraged for guests who plan to celebrate at Raglan Road, where they can lift a pint, sip a cocktail, and dine on authentic contemporary Irish cuisine beginning on March 11.

On St. Patrick’s Day only, March 17, Raglan Road will open at 10 a.m. with a $20 cover charge for guests 18 and older; (first-come, first-served—no reservations on this day only); younger patrons may enter free of charge.

Raglan Road guests can enjoy a huge range of Irish whiskeys, local craft beers, and hand-crafted cocktails while choosing from the chef’s selection of authentic Irish dishes, including fresh-caught fish with chips.

Those authentic fish & chips also are available to go at the adjacent Cooke’s of Dublin counter.

St. Patrick's Day Parade Winter Park On the Go in MCO

43rd Annual Winter Park St. Patrick’s Day Parade

Gather your family and friends and wear some green to enjoy the 43rd Annual Winter Park St. Patrick’s Day Parade Sunday, March 6, at 2 p.m., in downtown Winter Park.

The parade will begin at Webster Avenue and proceed south down Park Avenue to Lyman Avenue. Active in the Irish-American community for many years, Al Denecour will serve as Grand Marshal, and more than 60 units will participate.

After the parade, the celebration will continue with Irish music and step-dancing on the Central Park Main Stage with performances by professional Irish dancer Sarah Costello, Tir Na Greine School of Irish Dance, Watters School of Irish Dancing, Finnegan Academy of Irish Dance, and Michael Daly, Tenor.

7th Annual Crooked Can Celtic Festival

One of Central Florida’s Largest Celtic Festivals is coming to Crooked Can Brewing Company for its’ seventh year from March 17-19, 2022.

Festival-goers will enjoy three days of live Celtic music, Irish Dancers, Local Vendors, Delicious Eats, and of course fan-favorite favorite Crooked Can Brews!

This event is FREE for all ages to attend.

Promenade at Sunset Walk

Epcot Flower & Garden Festival: Foodie Guide

The EPCOT Flower & Garden Festival has taken over EPCOT with flavors in full bloom and dishes waiting to be cultivated through July 4.

2022 Epcot Flower & Garden Festival Overview

The 2022 EPCOT Flower & Garden Festival is blooming with fresh cuisine, beautiful gardens, whimsical topiaries of familiar characters, and flourishing entertainment from March 2 through July 4, 2022.

Topiaries

The obvious highlight of the Epcot Flower & Garden Festival is the Disney and Pixar character topiaries.

These iconic and towering topiaries can be found throughout the park and are sure to brighten up the rainiest Spring Day!

As a salute to the Walt Disney World Resort’s 50^th anniversary, the Epcot entry plaza is home to a Goofy Topiary and Walt Disney World 50th Anniversary Celebration Cake.

Gardens

Take a walk off the beaten path to find flowerbeds, exotic gardens, sustainable foods, and imaginative ways to live in harmony with the natural world.

New to the festival this year is the Blossoms of Fragrance Presented by Scentsy which fills the World Showcase Bridge with unforgettable fragrances

New Playset Fun Coming to Toy Story Land in 2022

Toy Story Land at Disney’s Hollywood Studios is full of fun for toys of all ages, and in 2022 the area will be the home to two new additions.

After enjoying a rollicking ride through Toy Story Mania!, you will soon be treated to a new experience that is filled to the brim with fun. Andy discovered Jessie’s Trading Post playset tucked away in the attic and is bringing it downstairs to set up shop—full of the coolest toys and finest souvenirs handpicked by the rootinest, tootinest cowgirl.

Also coming in 2022 to Andy’s backyard is the previously announced Roundup Rodeo BBQ restaurant!

In this unique, fun, family-friendly dining experience, guests will enjoy delicious barbecue fare while surrounded by a kaleidoscope of toys, games, and playsets that Andy has brought together to create his one-of-a-kind rodeo.

Stepping into the lobby and waiting area, guests experience first-hand what it feels like to be one of Andy’s honorary toys, before progressing into two larger dining room spaces where Andy’s rodeo takes place. Here, the rodeo will be in full swing with the western town and train station playsets mixing with surprising, playful details, like some fan-favorite Pixar characters as they’ve never been seen before!

Chef Richard Blais Brings Tropical Concept to Orlando

I was beyond excited when I found out that acclaimed Chef Richard Blais will open his first Orlando restaurant later this year with a new tropical concept at the Hyatt Regency Grand Cypress, located adjacent to Walt Disney World.

“It’s undeniable how talented and invigorating Chef Blais is. We couldn’t be more excited to be working with him for our newest restaurant,” said Hyatt Regency Grand Cypress General Manager Paul Joseph. “This concept is something very near and dear to our hearts and to Blais’s and we can’t wait to be able to unveil it to our guests.”

Blais is widely recognized as the first winner of Bravo’s Top Chef All-Stars and recently announced co-star of the new Gordon Ramsay / FOX cooking competition, Next Level Chef. He is a graduate of the Culinary Institute of America and trained at The French Laundry, Daniel, Chez Panisse, and el Bulli.

His new Orlando restaurant will make its home in the former Hemingway’s venue within the resort and offer dinner nightly and brunch on Sundays.

Blais currently owns and operates Trail Blais, a forward-thinking culinary consulting company that has consulted on, designed, and operated popular eateries across the country. He is the James Beard Award-nominated author of Try This at Home: Recipes from My Head to Your Plate, as well as his second cookbook, So Good.

Most recently, he opened Ember & Rye at the newly renovated Park Hyatt Aviara in Carlsbad, California, and took on the role of Culinary Director at the newly opened San Diego Symphony performance space, The Rady Shell at Jacobs Park.

“I love having fun with my concepts and menus and I’m so excited about what we’ve got in store for this restaurant at the Hyatt Regency Grand Cypress,” said Chef Richard Blais. “We’re looking forward to adding a memorable and innovative offering to Orlando’s already incredible food scene.”

The Hyatt Regency Grand Cypress will host a hiring event for the new restaurant on Tuesday, October 12 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the resort’s Windsong Ballroom. Positions available include management, cooks, bartenders, servers, and greeters.
