The Disney Vacation Club has begun their initial sales for its newest resort, Disney’s Polynesian Villas & Bungalows, and Current Disney Vacation Club Members have the opportunity to tour a model of the Deluxe Studios that will be available.

Existing Disney Vacation Club members are currently able to purchase real estate interests, and general sales will begin February 9. The first phase of Disney’s Polynesian Villas & Bungalows opening is scheduled for April 1, 2015. The resort will introduce unique Disney accommodations, including 20 Bora Bora Bungalows and 360 connecting Deluxe Studios.

I was so excited to get a preview of the new studios at the Saratoga Preview Center recently.

The new studios are so spacious, with thought of families it includes 2 showers, 1 tub and 1 walk-in shower.

The Disney’s Polynesian Villas & Bungalows Deluxe Studios have also included the new pull down beds, these feature Lilo and Stitch.

Disney’s Polynesian Villas & Bungalows Pull down bed — It’s a little blurry, but we wanted to give you an idea of what the artwork inside the bed was without spoiling the surprise!!!

There are some great nods to the history of the resort.

The colors are inspired from Mary Blair, the Tiki lamp also brings in a Polynesian Flair and of course the carpet has a few hidden mickeys.

Disney Vacation Club: New details announced for Disney’s Polynesian Villas Bungalows!

We hope you are getting as excited as we are about the next Disney Vacation Club Resort, Disney’s Polynesian Villas & Bungalows! Today, we released new details about the resort, which will open phase one in 2015. We are making history with the debut of the first Disney Bungalows. These beautiful accommodations are directly on Seven Seas Lagoon and will sleep up to eight guests and feature a plunge pool that offers views of fireworks over Magic Kingdom Park.

Adding to the excitement, we are opening the largest Deluxe Studios at the Walt Disney World Resort. The 360 Deluxe Studios will sleep up to five guests each and have the ability to connect to another Deluxe Studio, the first time we have done this at a Disney Vacation Club Resort. Similar to Disney Cruise Line ships and The Villas at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa, the rooms will each have a bathroom separated into two areas, one with a shower and sink and the other with a sink and tub/shower. Plus, they also will have kitchenettes and enhanced storage space for convenience and comfort.

The addition of Disney Vacation Club to this beloved resort is part of an overall renovation of the iconic resort hotel. A re-imagined Great Ceremonial House will welcome guests to a tropical destination where Disney magic meets South Seas hospitality. Also included is an enhanced feature pool and new food and beverage offerings, including Pineapple Lanai where Members and guests can get their favorite Dole Whip treats and Trader Sam’s Grog Grotto, which will feature exotic cocktails and Polynesian-themed small plates. Earlier this year, the resort opened a brand-new children’s activity center called Lilo’s Playhouse.

The first phase of Disney’s Polynesian Villas & Bungalows is scheduled to open in 2015.

2014 Merry Member Mixer!

Despite what the temperature is like outside, it’s never too early to start making holiday travel plans. If you’re all set to celebrate the season at Walt Disney World Resort this year, come get cozy with a Disney Vacation Club event you won’t want to miss – the Merry Member Mixer!

Disney Vacation Club Member families and their Guests are invited to be welcomed “home” for the holidays with festive entertainment and complimentary refreshments while mingling with fellow Members at the annual Merry Member Mixer.

Enjoy Character meet and greets, children’s holiday craft area, a DJ dance party and limited-edition merchandise while supplies last. Taking place at World Showplace Pavilion at Epcot,* up to six Guests may attend the event per Member I.D.,** no RSVP required.

Dates for 2014 Merry Member Mixer are as follows:

– Monday, November 24, 3 p.m. – 5 p.m.
– Monday, December 1, 3 p.m. – 5 p.m.
– Monday, December 15, 3 p.m. – 5 p.m.
– Monday, December 22, 3 p.m. – 5 p.m.
