Shopping For The Boys…

I thought that it was time to show the boys some shopping love, especially since there is some great Park Merch out there!!!

The summer t-shirts and such are super cool, and have a kind of Hollister feel to them. I am a huge fan of how summery this line is!!! Its also worth noting that the shirts are definitely lighter weight than the regular shirts, which is great for those hot summer days.

And you cannot deny the absolute coolness of the retro shirts and hats!!! I think I am going to HAVE to get the red hat!!! I think that Disney is definitely striking the right cord and tapping into the right characters. Who doesn’t love the Big Bad Wolf???

I also threw in a few Vinyls…just cause!

TrenD, Little Miss Matched, And Designer Jewelry…Oh My!!! March 16, 2012

Today on my visit to TrenD, I decided to venture out and around the Downtown Disney Marketplace to see what I could find…and I wasn’t disappointed!!!

I found some awesome new additions to the Disney line at Little Miss Matched, and found that the John Wind Signature Jewelry line has released a Little Mermaid set at the Art of Disney.

This sweatshirt has such a cute flip flop detail!!!

The shiny detail on her sunglasses is such a neat touch!

These wristlets are super cute, and the ‘fabric’ reminds me of the Vera Bradley Frill collection.

I might be obsessed with this shirt, too….

While I don’t get these cropped sweatshirts, I love the print!

You can never go wrong with the Evil Queen…unless you’re Snow White…

I LOVE Jessica Rabbit….so I MUST buy this ceramic cup!!!

Then I decided to head to Little Miss Matched, and found that they expanded their line of Disney Items!

These flip flops have such a cute zipper detail!

Okay…I am DYING over these new Minnie Mouse socks!!!

I have some of the Mickey Mouse pieces, but I MUST get these new Little Mermaid Designer Jewelry!!!

TrenD Report – March 1, 2012

Starting this Month, every Friday I will feature a new TrenD Report or new merchandise line in or around the parks! I am really excited to start doing these on a more regular basis!!!

With that being said…Let’s get window shopping!!!

This week’s report shows all of the love that Minnie has been getting (which I am sooo excited about, since she is my favorite character)!!! Also, we’ll see some really neat retro ear hats and Evil Queen merch!

This would make a super cute summer bag!

I am absolutely in love with these new Minnie Ear headbands!!! They are all really neat and represent a different side of Minnie!

Who wouldn’t love a sparkly Minnie Ear headband???

The sequin detail near the feathers are such a nice touch!

These Minnie Ears have a more ‘Punk’ feel to them.

This stylized Minnie is really starting to grow on me!

The lace detail is such a nice touch to this shirt.

I really like the casual feel of these bags!

These fun ears have a retro touch with a black net detail under the hat that can be pulled down.

TrenD Report – February 6, 2012

The folks down at Downtown Disney Marketplace’s TrenD have been really busy stocking up the store with all sorts of new merchandise that would be perfect for Valentine’s Day!

There are definitely a few pieces that I am going to have to go back for…

A Minnie Mouse Loungefly canvas tote? Yes, please!!!!

And you can’t forget the matching wallet!!!

This apron is by far one of the cutest things I have EVER seen!!!! I am a sucker for a retro apron!

Could this be any more perfect for Valentine’s Day???

I wish that the shirt color was different…

TrenD Report – January 23, 2012

It’s time for another TrenD Report!!!

One thing that I have noticed since my last visit, is that there really has not been a lot of new Disney items added to the store, but the amount of Toki Doki and Betsy Johnson Betsyville has definitely increased! It is starting to feel more like a Juniors Department rather than a Disney Couture Boutique. I hope that this changes in the future, but among the regular stuff I was able to find a few Disney gems!!!

I love how shimmery the print on this Minnie tee looks in the sun!

The 80's feel of this sweatshirt is fantastic!

I love the design of this Tinkerbell Tea Pot! The wings add such a nice touch of whimsy!

I love the saucer of the matching Tinkerbell Tea Cup!

I might be obsessed with this oversized LoungeFly canvas tote!!!!

You HAVE to get the matching wallet!!! The quality of these LoungFly purses and wallets is amazing!

The Disney Couture Jewelry line has had a bit of a refresh, and it now has a very Juicy Couture feel to it in terms of size and design.

TrenD Report 2011 – October 27, 2011

So while I was browsing around my absolute favorite store at the Downtown Disney Marketplace TrenD (Gimme a break! I have less than 2 months to make my holiday list!!!), I found tons of new and new-ish items that I am in love with and wanted to share!

Also, the comic book Dooney’s haven’t arrived. I’m still not a fan, but I want to see if my opinions change when I see them in person.

FEED Our Small World Products Now Available At TrenD

This year marks the 45th anniversary of “It’s a Small World” at Disneyland, and to celebrate and carry on the message of It’s a Small World a line of products has been created to help children around the world.

It’s a Small World represents a powerful, unifying idea: regardless of individual nationality or ethnicity, we are all more similar than we are different. This idea champions what we all know in our hearts—though a world apart, we are all connected to each other.

The FEED Our Small World tote is made of natural burlap, and has cream-colored organic cotton interior lining. Each bag measures approximately 16” wide, and 14” high. Each Tote bag purchased* will help UNICEF supply 500 children with a year’s worth of essential Vitamin A supplements.

Tote handles and the messenger strap have approximate drop lengths of 11” and 17” respectively. Both handles are made of sturdy cream-colored organic cotton. Create Your Own Treats At Goofy’s Candy Company!

I am always on the lookout for something different and fun to try as I am traveling around the parks, and one of our favorite places to explore is the Downtown Disney Marketplace.

On a previous trip with a friend I found the Create Your Own Treats at Goofy’s Candy Company, and I thought that it would be a perfect end to a girl’s evening!

After a super yummy dinner at Earl of Sandwich with Shalon Given, we headed over to Goofy’s to make our own delicious dessert!!!

Walking up we were overwhelmed by the choices, but after some careful consideration Shalon chose a Mickey Krispy Rice Treat and I chose the topped marshmallows!

Watching the cast members make our treats was a lot of fun, but definitely not as much fun as eating them!

I can’t wait to try this with Zoe…okay maybe I can’t wait to try the pretzel rods…either way this is a great way to have a little fun and eat it, too!

Sweet Halloween Treats At Goofy’s Candy Company!

While I am working on tomorrow’s post, I thought that I would take a moment to share some pictures of the sweet Halloween treats that are available at Goofy’s Candy Company at the Downtown Disney Marketplace!

Little MissMatched adds new Disney socks, clothes, and accessories!

Little MissMatched is easily one of our favorite stores (Please, no one tell TrenD) in the Downtown Disney Marketplace.

While we, Zoe and I, love their fun socks I always wished that they had some Disney options…and finally they have added them!

Currently they only have the anklet socks, $11 for 3 coordinating NOT matching socks, and they are available in 15 different styles.

In addition to the socks, they have added Disney clothing and accessories.

As with most things in Little MissMatched, the prices are comparable to those around the parks.

The small sling bag and the drawstring backpacks are $17, the t-shirts are $19, and the knit sweaters are $49.

While I am not a huge Pook-a-Looz fan, I don’t mind them so much on the Little MissMatched items. I think my favorite ones are the Alice and Wonderland Socks!!!

I am really excited about taking Zoe back and picking out a few goodies!!!

A Look Around the Newly Refurbished Lego Store at Downtown Disney

The last stop on our week of firsts, is a look at the newly refurbished Lego Store that Opened earlier this week at the Downtown Disney Marketplace.

The store looks amazing!!! They have added several new sculptures around the outside of the building and spruced up the activity tables outside. Also, you’ll notice that they removed the playground area…

035 — And finally Snow White kissing Dopey, which was my favorite of them all!

The inside of the store also received a MAJOR overhaul!!! There are new cute Lego dioramas, activity areas, and an innovate way to look at what your Lego creation will look like once it’s assembled.

018 — In the gaming area you could build and play with you creations on several computer stations.

025 — The second activity area was a large table chocked full of various Lego bricks that could be closed off from the rest of the store.

Now this was the absolute coolest addition to the refurbishment…The Digital Box!

After all, You’ve got a friend in me…at the Lego Store in the Downtown Disney Marketplace.

New Princess Carousel Ears!

I love these!!!!!!

I will HAVE to get these for Zoe!!!!!

Who you callin’ Babycakes???

The landscape of the Downtown Disney Marketplace just got a whole lot sweeter with the addition of Babycakes NYC!

Refined sugar-free? Gluten free? Wheat-free? Soy-free? Casein-free? Egg-free? Vegan? And it’s good?

No.

It is absolutely amazing!!!

I have to admit that I was more than worried as I stared at my red velvet cupcake, but I have to tell you as a girl who has never lived above the Mason-Dixon line that this cupcake would give any other red velvet cake a run for its money!!! It was super moist, and the frosting was so sweet, creamy and wonderful!!!

Worried about food colorings? Don’t be! They use natural food dyes in their frostings and cakes.

Babycakes NYC, which is located in the same building as Fresh A-Peel and Pollo Campero, offers a wide variety of cupcakes, doughnuts, cookies, cookie sandwiches (which look absolutely amazing), and other seasonal sweets. Although, my favorite is the frosting shot!!! 🙂

Also, this Friday, December 10th, from 1 to 2 pm there will be a cookbook signing and little sweet pack giveaway for people who stop by!

This has really started a conversation in our family about finding other healthy food alternatives. Seriously, if they can make a cupcake taste this good, then what do we have to fear?
