A Flashback 4th of July-An All-American Salute to Cinema

Come Celebrate July 4^th in style with A Flashback 4^th of July in beautiful Celebration, Florida. Regarded as one of the top fireworks shows in the Southeast, Celebration Town Center’s unique fireworks and event will be centered around “A Salute to Cinema” July 4^thwith A Flashback 4^th of July-A Salute to Cinema will begin at 5:30 PM and the movie themed fireworks show will get under way at 9:30 PM.

Celebration Town Center’s “A Flashback 4^th of July” will feature a movie themed costume contest at 7:30 PM, so come dressed as your favorite movie character for a chance to win big prizes. It will also feature a synchronized fireworks spectacular set to a movie theme, bounce houses for kids, live music by Mo Geetz, DJ Tami, Gina Marie Incandela and a whole lot more. Hosted by actor/host Justin Smith (The Vampire Diaries, VH1′s Single Ladies, Burn Notice, Meet the Spartans and more) So, get ready to dance the night away in a one of a kind family friendly event.

There will be something for people of all ages as Town Center’s KidZone will feature an assortment of inflatable games for kids and teens that will include a jousting area, a rock climbing wall, face painting and more.

Additional music will be offered by The Dixieland Jazz Band. This unique group, made up of former members of the “Rosie O’Grady’s Good Time Band” offers patriotic music for the whole family.

Sponsored in part by the Melia Suites Hotel, The Celebration Town Tavern, Celebration Sanitation, T-Creative, Axis Magazine, and Sam Adams this event will be “the can’t miss place to be” this July 4^th.

As always, Parking and Admission are FREE!!!!

Free Park and Ride Shuttle will be available.

7:30-8:00 PM Jordyn Kane Performs

8:15 PM– Costume Contest (come dressed as your favorite movie character for a chance to win prize money)

8:30-9:25 PM– Mo Geetz Performs

9:25 PM– National Anthem Sung

9:30 PM- Fireworks!!!!

The Enzian Theater in Maitland offer the chance to create your own movie at Young Filmmakers’ Summer Camp! Experience the art of filmmaking as you study cinematic techniques, learn about the exciting history of filmmaking, and dive into the production of an independent film. After wrapping the shoot, see your work projected on the big screen with your fellow filmmakers, family, and friends.

In addition to learning aspects of making a film (script writing, character development, shooting, editing, and more), students will learn a brief summary of film history and why film is still an important form of expression today.

This two-week summer camp, held July 23 – 27 and July 30 – August 3 with a graduation ceremony held on August 5, is located at Enzian Theater and open to children entering grades 5-8. No previous experience with filmmaking or equipment is required.

Full Camp dates and hours are as follows:

Mon-Thu 7/23-26 Camp: 9am – 5 pm
Friday 7/27 Camp: 9am – 3pm
Friday 8/3 Camp: 9am – 3pm
Sunday 8/5 Graduation & Premiere: 11am

Also during KidFest, there is a KidFest Summer Movie Series which offers film fans and children of all ages the rare opportunity to experience an exceptional selection of family-friendly movies. From unique, side-splitting silent comedy classics to popular and unusual retro favorites, Monday through Thursday screenings are now FREE for everyone and individual tickets on weekends are only $5!

The Gold Rush – July 22nd at 11am & July 24th at 3pm
Jason & The Argonauts – July 22nd at 1:15pm & July 25th 3pm
The Goonies – July 26th at 3pm & July 28th at 1pm
Spirited Away – July 29th at 1pm & July 31st at 3pm
Fly Away Home – August 1st at 3pm & August 5th at 1pm
Who Framed Roger Rabbit? – August 2nd at 3pm & August 4th at 1pm
