Disney Vacation Club will embark on two unique Member Cruise voyages in 2015 as part of Membership Magic: our traditional 4-night Bahamian sailing and our first 7-night Member Cruise to Alaska!
Both voyages will elevate the already spectacular Disney Cruise Line experience with added special entertainment, in-room gifts and more, all created with Members in mind. Here’s a quick look at the two itineraries.
For DVC members there is a weekly event at Atlantic Dance Hall called Welcome Home Wednesday.
Since its been a very long time since I’ve been, Shelley, Kelly and I decided to go and check it out.
You are asked to show your DVC member ID when you enter and you are given a ticket to fill out, on the ticket is a snack ticket that you can tear off easily.
As one of the new features of Disney Vacation Club membership magic was added earlier this year. One of the new events was to feature the Spa discount and came with some extra benefits on certain nights. A few months ago, I decided to try the spa. I called member services to make my appointment, and then checked in at Saratoga on my appointment day.
One of the features for Facials was: Facial Enhancements with a choice of one of the following,
- Bright Eyes – Reduce fine lines, relieve puffy and stressed eyes, and target dark circles and signs of fatigue as you re-energize the eye area.
- Hydrating Lip Treatment – Gently erase dryness and fine lines during a hydrating and plumping experience sure to leave your lips looking voluptuous and youthful.
- Hand Brightener – Turn back the hands of time with this lightening, brightening hand treatment as you naturally say goodbye to hyper pigmentation and darks spots.
- Facial Boost – Customize your facial for specific areas of concern with one of 4 Facial Boosters, including: Firming Booster (eases the signs of aging), Anti-Blemish Booster (eases the signs of acne), Anti-Redness Booster (especially for Rosacea) and Lightening Booster (lightens pigmentation).
For my birthday earlier this month, I decided to go to Hard Rock Casino to play some slot machines.
I also wanted to explore the area more and go to a dedicated Vegan restaurant, I looked on Happy Cow and found Leafy Greens Cafe which is Located in St. Petersburg, Florida.
The Leafy Greens Cafe is a raw vegan and gluten free restaurant, they are also Non GMO foods.
As you can see from the pictures everything is prepared fresh and everyone enjoyed their food.
Top HGTV and DIY Network Stars to Appear
at 2014 Epcot International Flower & Garden Festival
Superstars of HGTV and DIY Network shows will appear at the 21st Epcot International Flower & Garden Festival presented by HGTV until May 18, 2014. Three HGTV stars will “crash” the festival for the first time: Matt Blashaw from “Yard Crashers,” Matt Muenster from “Bath Crashers” and Alison Victoria from “Kitchen Crashers.”
The popular HGTV celebrities will meet festival guests and showcase expert tips and clever tricks at noon and 3 p.m. each Friday, Saturday and Sunday on The Designers’ Stage presented by HGTV at the Festival Center. The Crashers and their crews are known for plucking regular folks out of home improvement stores to help them – in just three days – make over the family’s yard, bathroom or kitchen. Also new to this year’s festival are “Renovation Raiders” star Amy Matthews and Chip Wade, who started with John Gidding on “Curb Appeal” and now has his own hit show, “Elbow Room.”
If you are like me, you love finding out that there are “secret” menus!
If you are a Disney Vacation Club Member, you might want want to check out this tip…
Here’s a fun little “secret menu” tip for Disney Vacation Club Members from Joffrey’s Coffee & Tea Company – The java brewers have created a special coffee drink exclusively for Members.
Named “Vienna Latte” and available (to Members who ask) at Joffrey’s kiosks throughout the Disneyland and Walt Disney World Theme Parks, it’s a tasty blend of espresso, steamed milk, chocolate sauce and vanilla syrup with whipped cream, and it’s available hot or iced.
Joffrey’s is a Tampa-based company that’s been importing and distributing premium coffees and teas using the finest beans and tea leaves from around the world. Insiders tell me the company uses specialty-grade Arabica beans, an elite category with rigorous standards met by fewer than 10 percent of coffee beans worldwide. As the standards of Disney Vacation Club Members are equally rigorous, we thought news of this beverage might create some positive “buzz.”

CELEBRATE THE SEASON ON ONE OF THESE DATES

This year is very eventful if you are Jewish because Chanukah falls on Thanksgiving, but if you don’t have family in town there are plenty of events you can attend.
Jewish Heritage Night with the Orlando Magic
Wednesday, November 27th, 2013
First night of Chanukah
Amway Center in downtown Orlando
400 W Church St #200, Orlando, FL 32801
Pregame and Menorah lighting at 6:30 PM in the Vista Room
Tip-off at 7:00 PM
Since I’m Jewish, and live in Orlando I wanted to share your closest options if you want to attend Synagogue Services on Shabbat or other holy days.
Please note there are no synagogues within walking distance of Disney World. Lynx offers bus service, but it can take a long time to get to your destination. I recommend renting a car or taking a cab. I don’t have recommendations for those that are Shomer Shabbos other than staying walking distance from the synagogue you are interested in.
Most of the larger synagogues are located north of downtown Orlando. Also, not all synagogues are listed, just those closest to Disney are listed.
